I honestly don't think they will sell many of the tickets that are handed back for midweek games anyway, I highly doubt we have thousands of kids waiting in the wings to go to a game at 7:45pm on Tuesday. With adults having to move too, I would be willing to bet that the FZ will look even emptier for the evening games than it did this season.

I would have just set the FZ adult at £400 and then a kid at £23. No adult would be getting a cheaper ticket then, but you still get to take the kids cheaply. My 6 year old and I have FZ tickets and I would rather have done that than having to mess about moving for every game that he can't attend

Exactly, put the adults at the same price and the kids cheap.

Then crack down on adults using kids tickets at the turnstyles.

Much easier.

Being a cynic, it’s easier to send a letter and cancel a card than confront a coked up 21 year old in person.

I get my ticket checked a billion times before I take my seat in block 16. Rather than penalising fans, why not actually crack down on those abusing the system. Check the cards a billion times. If an adult is sitting in the FZ and they don't have a kid with them, refuse entry. They put all these "safeguards" in place, yet fail to do the simple things and check tickets.

What if the game is sold out and you can't go because your child is ill and tickets have all gone in the rest of the stadium. I know it's unlikely but it is possible if we are doing a Leicester next season
This is a bloody farce . Awaiting MK3 amendments in a few day's time.

I mean I've just tweeted if I can pay £400 for my FZ adult and £50 each for the kids....obviously have still the 8 game rule which will be fine but let me go to night games alone....

There was a way of the club generating more revenue AND making it less complicated IMO

Doug said they are going to police it robustly next season.

Hopefully, all the noise about this will make people think twice about abusing the system. When/ if caught they will (a) be refused entry (b) need to buy another ticket if they want to attend a match and (c) lose the initial outlay on the FZ ST.

Can someone clarify
13. Adults should not attend the Family Zone without a Junior – if an adult is attending without a Junor their Season Ticket will be revoked. If an Adult wishes to attend with no Junior accompanying, then they must add their ticket to the Exchange and purchase a ticket in the Standard Zone or Premium Zone for the fixture.
Does this mean for example of a big midweek game, you get a phone call your under 14 has an accident at school, sent home, can't make game but is looked after by someone else at home, you then have to put their ticket on exchange surrender your ticket, cost so far £13, then if your lucky find a single seat (which maybe in rain now) and pay a further £37, making example gane £50 just for you, or run risk of losing under 14 season ticket if you go and sit in your own seat?

I’m curious as to why you think the club’s ticketing policy should accommodate your choice to live hundreds of miles away?

If you never had any intention of going to every game, why do you think you should get priority over a local family that can attend every game?

I think the word revoke is shit from the club, I have renewed in block 28 at a bigger cost but hey ho about as laughable as the rubbish you’ve just written

While the abuse of FZ tickets does need to be stamped out, the logistics of it and the million and one genuine scenarios of why a child cannot accompany their parent/guardian to a match needs addressing. Doesn't seem worth getting a ticket in there as so many situations can arise that are out of the control of the parent.

You would run the risk of losing your own ticket as well if you use your FZ ticket and go alone,

The thing is, would those situations happen more than 15 times per season.

Exactly this, we have made such a needless mess of this.

I suspect the reality won't be as "hard line" - as per your point above, lets say its a night match to win promotion and the kids are sick - you think they are stopping people coming in!!! Good luck.

There will also be flash points early on, you can bank on it, again needless.

King referenced there are circa 1k empty tickets on average in FZ - what have we done about targeting these people? The tone and language used has been in poor taste also.

Listened to the CWR interview: the policy is now that we have to make 8 games together otherwise we can't renew. Put it on the exchange if we can't make it. If my son can't make it I can't use my ticket on my own in the FZ and have to get a ticket elsewhere in the stadium for that game. Seems a much more reasonable approach in my view

Depends how the ticket elsewhere in the stadium works. Do you have to pay full whack, do you just pay an uplift, etc.

And it’s going to cause needless friction for genuine families, who may have attended with young kids not able too on a particular occasion.

it’s just a needless mess.

They’ve got all the data for starters for each ticket - start by requesting birth certificates for example for each child ST

as part of this issue is people “making up children” to get cheap tickets.

so there’s one element as starter for 10

It’s the minority spoiling it for majority and a blanket approach with the language used is just not needed.

Sure you, as I,have got better things to do than come up with optimum approach on here. So we will agree to disagree.

They did request some sort of proof last year, I had to email copies of my kids birth certificates.

I'd have made the first adult 350 and additional adult 400. I think everyone me included in the fZ think our adult tickets are too cheap. This is what has opened the abuse of the system.

Still a great deal for an adult and 2 kids for £450 but someone abusing the system is the takencout the equation as they'll just elsewhere in the ground for slightly less

I would just have had standard adult pricing, it was supposed to be about cheap tickets for kids. Similar ballpark though.

You would think that it should be a weighted up figure.

Adult ST in the FZ works out at £10.90 per game to the nearest 10p. Adult ST in the standard zone works out at £17.40. That should mean that FZ adults should only have to pay an extra £6.50 to move to the standard zones for a game where the child can't attend.

If it is any more than £6.50 then the club are taking the piss.

I think Doug has been a bit too bullish regarding the family zone. It’s going to be difficult for any adult to buy a ticket in there as no one can guarantee the child will go to every game and if they can’t your not going to be able to go yourself. Dropped a clanger he has.

Taken a sledge hammer to crack a nut.

simply make adult tickets normal price, even put kids tickets up from £50 (which is too cheap!)

that stops some (most) of the piss takers instantly.

It was a knee jerk over reaction to last year’s criticism of pricing.
