Not necessarily at the expense, literal and metaphorical, of existing ones.

I think he means adults who:-

a) actually have children to take, and
b) actually take them

i.e, not the fraudsters who have spoilt it for genuine families.

Someone should set up an exchange for kids that can't go to the night games.

The club have never said that's the case? Just that adults must attend with a child.

So if you take 5 kids and 4 can't make it, will the adult still be able to go in with 1 child ?

Isn't it only 2 kids or adult or something?

The cynic in me wonders if they are waiting to see what people are saying and then tailor the final details accordingly.

All sounding a bit better now they've confirmed you will get a discounted match ticket if you have to surrender your ST to the exchange.

The 48hr rule is a bit harsh as things happen in life at shorter notice - however these things shouldn't happen more than 3 times a season.

They've also stated discretion will be used for individual cases......

I think the cynic in me was correct. Could almost have lifted the detail word for word from posts in this thread.

Looks like they've taken everything on board and tried to make it part of the terms and conditions. Not sure there can really be too many complaints with what they've come up with.

We all know there's people taking the piss and they're the people they want to stop. As with kids ticket prices in general they've had to take action as too many people are trying to get in on the cheap when they aren't entitled to.

Not sure there's a whole lot different to what most sane people would have expected. A lot of the drama seems to have kicked off on the basis of 'my mate was told in the ticket office' type stuff.

Surely the simplest solution is to raise adult season tickets in that zone to those of adults in other areas of the ground, so that they have nothing to gain from purchasing a season ticket for a non attending child. If adult season ticket holders in the FZ were paying the same as in other areas, there surely wouldn't be such an issue about the child ticket holders not attending games here and there. Would those adults with tickets in the FZ be happy with that?
Referring back to this post - still think the club have made this whole FZ thing unnecessarily complicated with half-baked T&Cs being revised while STs are on sale. Remove the incentive for cheaper adult tickets by making them the same as the other standard zone area and partially offset that with greater discounted rates for children

I'm still slightly confused with the strikes and less than all members attending.

So if I attend and one of my children don't (I have 1 adult and 2, 5 year olds). It sounds like I can't put just the 1 on the exchange, so would I automatically get a strike?

Or is this where the discretion comes in?

So the club will give the pro rata value back to the ticket holder, but not charge the pro rata rate in the standard zone for the new ticket. Just charging a £6.50 upgrade price would have been far easier, and fairer, considering the club are forcing adults who have a child who can't make it to move, after they have committed to a season ticket.

It’s May Pete ! I doubt that’s the reason. The club should’ve released this info at time of STa going on sale but it’s the right solution either way.

Also, I appreciate quite a few have said just remove the cost saving between FZ and standard adult to make it simpler….that’s great, apart from if you’re a parent who can’t afford to take their kid at that price !

It doesn’t affect me but fair play to the club for keeping a cheap option for fans with kids.

So what’s the rules now?

You get two attendances without a kid then after that your ticket is revoked?

If you put all the tickets in your group up more than 48 hours before you’re OK up to 11 times a season.

If you have one kid going and one not they’ll figure it out as they go

You get the pro rata of all (?) tickets in your group back that you can then take off your adult ticket elsewhere.

Is that right?

Crystal clear! I’ve seen discretion used a lot - basically as you say - they don’t know.

look credit for trying to stop people taking piss - but this is just such nonsense and not needed.

Yes

No just your pro rata rate for your adult ticket.

This area is to be used by families and therefore any lone adult(s) would not be allowed, under any circumstances, in this area without a junior.
that suggests to me they would try and stop you entering. Not sure how feasible it is, but these days they'll certainly know if you go alone after the fact.

Not that it affects me, but that’s what I picked out. You’d still be expecting ST holders to fork out up to £21 for a match ticket for a game they effectively already have a ticket to.

The club are digging themselves a Public Relations hole and appear to be still digging. The amount of rules, clauses and caveats they are putting in the family zone is becoming ridiculous. I get the family zone is cheap and those that sit there have a great deal but are the club seriously going to police it that zealously and start removing season tickets from fans?

Is it right that family zone fans have to spend time out of their busy lives putting their children's (and seemingly theirs) tickets up on the exchange for midweek games that the kids cant make sure to school. It all feels a bit oppressive and frankly I think the club should just up the price of the tickets and not invest money in trying to police families so closely and potentially create bad publicity for the club!

Who is this the brain child of?

Give it 5/6 games it will die down. Totally over top burdening legit familes with ridiculous T&Cs.

Large amount of people Who are unaffected getting on their high horse is quite tiresome also now.

Anyway season tickets renewed - roll on august.

Its been mentioned a lot on here, but 400 adult and £25 - £50 kids was the easy way around this
