Without seeing the full details of how it will work, just put it on the ticket exchange. Or else count it as one of the three you are allowed not to do so.

And, of course, they really should have released all details BEFORE tickets went on sale.

Your nearly getting it, if your kid is sick once you can’t go.

If you can’t put it one the exchange you use up one of your 3 occasions that you’re allowed to not go or put it on the exchange

No, you just upgrade to a full price ticket.

You seem to think the discounted family tickets are for the parents benefit.

I’m not bothered about it, you’ve made it up in your head in am.

Im saying it’s a stupid moronic thing to ban an adult from using their season ticket if their kid is sick. If another club done it I’d say it’s stupid too. It makes the club look pathetic to be honest.

Adults standard price and up to 3 kids free, generates the same revenue and removes the option of fiddling the system to get a season ticket for £300, if the kids can't attend put their tickets on the exchange and allow the adult to sit in the seat they've paid for, it's unlikely many will take 3 kids along so it will probably generate more money, am I being too simplistic.

I think if an adult has to attend on their own they should just have to pay the difference between season ticket and standard.

Please don't give up. I hope the club do 6 and 12 match packages for people like you at a reasonable price whereby you could come with your lad weekends and without midweek.Genuine people are to be encouraged it ones who just use a child's ticket just to get really cheap ST.

If the adult goes on their own the season ticket could be revoked. It’s a potential PR nightmare

Everyone has been made very aware of the conditions. Doesn't mean there won’t be negative PR but it will be easily countered. Should have been avoided by not discounting the adult price, there would have been no reason then not to allow temporarily unaccompanied adults from using their ticket.

Not sure they have considered every detail. If an adult cannot attend because their child is ill, birthday, holiday, school trip, at other parents, grounded - to name a few of 1001 reasons why kids couldn't make it. Then the adult has to surrender both tickets to an exchange, recieve no recompense, that is not going to sit well with many. Those tickets are then offered up for resale to prospective new or exsisting supporter who is struggling to get ticket??, Remember we are primarily thinking about midweek games, with school etc. How many new or exsisting supporters are going to pay full price for that ticket, maybe if we are top of league, what happens if we are mid-table, playing poor opposition, game on Sky and its raining, are these tickets really going to get resold, don't think so and there will be an empty seat for the camera's. As personally i will not go and pay full price for a ticket and sit elsewhere, in my mind i have already bought my ticket. So at this point the club has manged to secure one empty seat in stadium, great plan that, not forgeting that the absent fan may have a normal spending habit of £10-£15 (maybe more) in ground, the club have lost that aswell. So allround a plan that has potential to leave the stadium looking more empty behind the goal, losing potential revenue and more importantly, tainting the relationship with genuine fans, instead of tackling the cheats.

All these points will be somewhat moot when the family zone sells out regardless.

I have spoken to a few people who have tickets in there. They said they are still going to buy them in there but just walk over to the next blocks and sit in one of the hordes of empty seats in the stand when they can’t take there kid. I wish I had thought of that before I moved.

Where you actually sit won’t be the decider of anything, they'll obviously have the data from you scanning the ticket. If they want to be harsh on it they’ll know if you enter without a child.

And you think if they wanted to police it they wouldn’t tell stewards to look out for that?

Maybe just the ones go in but there’s always been a guy watching the lights of a group of turnstiles. He only needs to catch one person on a kids ticket before the club is in profit on his wages.

Steward match rate: ~£80

The look on your face as you get caught pushing an imaginary child through the turnstile: priceless

Are FZ tickets like all the others, in that you can gain entry through any turnstile? If they a4e, and the club 8s serious about wanting to police this, entry needs to be restricted to a minimum number of turnstiles adjacent to the Family Zone. These would then be easy to watch.

I agree with this if it is just in regard to the discounted family stand issue. As a general statement and should this be used as a testing phase for a wider plan should we get promoted I couldn't disagree more

My group have essentially always said we will buy a ST for life, regardless of how many games we can make as we want to financially support the club (we have done so through very trying times). Half of us are in the age bracket where we have had kids/having second kids etc and it becomes much more difficult to attend as we have responsibilities at home. Ironically, midweeks are much easier for us than weekends, so this latest season was probably my best attended in the 10 years or so of being a ST holder.

It's insanity to me that I may be punished for not having turned up to 50% of games of our most successful period when I have supported the club and missed 50% of games in League 2 because I believed in supporting the club financially then, like I do now. If King (or anyone else, and at this moment it hasn't been suggested, yet) that he can enforce a 50% attendance should we get promoted at any stage, he can quite kindly get fucked.

But if we’re sold out every week then why should you get to block someone attending more often? It’s not even a financial decision at that stage, it’s about having as many fans in there to support the team.

That’s my issue.
The FZ sold out quickly last year, meaning not everyone that wanted one could get one.
I don’t see how it’s fair for someone to hog a seat they don’t use that someone else wants
