Yep, it was the English mother that did it. If he had been all German he would have just dived and not said anything.

fair play to him and the ref but it seems like a poor headline and poor reporting, saying he admitted to a dive suggests the guy tried to cheat and had a change of heart a few seconds later and owned up. Isn't it much more likely the guy messed up his footwork while trying to get around the defender, kicked the floor, fell on his face was awarded a penalty but told the ref straight away he wasn't touched and he fell?

of course perhaps im wrong and he admitted in the post match interview he was trying to cheat but it seems unlikely.

Edit - Actually turns out im the one in the wrong, apologies to the bbc.
