An experienced player to have a round wouldn’t of done any harm

He didn't do our early results last season any good. He was part of the problem. I am a massive McFadz fan and sung his praises when he joined and in early games people were saying he was crap.

But we got rid at the right time. Blackburn fans didn't even want his end of season contract extended. Sorry but experience is nothing if your legs have gone and you can't be in the right place at the right time and you are jogging back into the penalty area when the danger has passed.

To be fair to McFadz, he just wants to play football for a bit longer so has dropped down.

Nothing wrong with that, because he knows he is now no longer anyway near Championship standard. Unlike some of our romantic fans

Up there with one of the best signings we made in the last decade, left in the right way and has now done the same here. Impossible to dislike him

He’s from near where I live in South Sheffield and Chesterfield is literally 15 mins down the road. I can see why he’s signed there.

Can’t not like the bloke. Only regret was him getting skinned for the Luton goal at Wembley. Season before the player and the ball go in row Z, wish we’d of signed him earlier,

I wish him well.

He was excellent for us but sadly is no longer of the required standard, which is a shame because he is just the sort of player we need.

I would have him back, not as a player but as a defensive coach.

Agree a season before and that Luton player would not have scored.

He was doing them with Blackburn but hasn't completed them yet, whether Chesterfield allow him to continue is another thing. When he was interviewed on Sky Blues Fans TV he said that some managers are scared to take on senior pros who have completed their coaching badges as they may end up being replaced by them.

They would only be replaced if there are deemed to not be not doing a good job. Good luck to Fadz

Perfect move for him that - As a Sheffield lad he can move to basically home and see out his playing career there and also a good environment to earn his stripes as a coach if he wants to

People say we needed him back though were wide of the mark, we undoubtedly missed/still do miss a McFadzean type player but McFadzean himself wasn't at the level anymore

Still an amazing servant to CCFC and wish him well

I think Paul Cook won't be the worst manager to play for and his coaching development will continue at Chesterfield.

Can see from that interview what a massive hole he left in our dressing room and team when he left.
top professional who gave 110% every time he played.
would be nice to see him back at the CBS in the coaching staff

I’m not sure. I seem to remember that he was doing the course or was intending to.

I could be wrong obviously but I think he would be a good defensive coach and a great motivator.

Yea one game for his new club, and in a knee brace. Just after I told a pal who’s a massive chesterfield fan, they had a hard warrior and a leader.
Should have kept my mouth shut.

Robin’s knew he was getting rid of Fadz & didn’t put him on , in the FA cup game against Oxford .
We had to go to Blackburn to say “ Thank you “ , to a true leader & luckily there was 3.5k there that night to pay our respects.
Still a massive shame a full house at the CBS couldn’t say ‘ goodbye ‘ to the talent that was Kyle Mcfadzean .
