I wish him all thes best, but I've got to admit the media have really annoyed about this. It wasn't that long ago an entire team died (23 players/officials) in a plane crash and it wasn't mentioned anywhere. One bloke in football collapses and the media plaster it everywhere. Again, I wish him well, but the media have really disgusted with this.

The Russian team was tragic, this was tragic. You saying the media have disgusted you with the way they've gone about this is begrudging Muamba and his condition the publicity it deserves. The Russian teams plane crash got wide media coverage in Russia and was reported here for a few days. I think saying disgusted about anything in a scenario like this is wrong.

It wasn't widely reported at all. Most people knew nothing about after it happened. A small bit by the media on tv and a very small article in the papers is all it got. But a tragic thing like this sends the media into overdrive.

I'm not begruding his family at all, I hope he makes a full recovery I really do. But the media are just going overboard as usual. This sort of thing happens everyday in the world, where as a plane crash killing an 23 people gets barely any attention at all.

You mis-read what I said - widely reported in Russia, which is where they were from and where it happened. I remember it getting media coverage here.

To be fair to Tad, I don't think he has articulated it well, but there is a good point in there, just more carefully chosen words as opposed to "disgusted" would have argued the point better.

I'm sure everyone is pelased that FM is responding and all hope that he continues his progress.

The tragedy probably has been 'overplayed' when you consider not things like the Russian team, but the six UK servicemen killed in Afghanistan a couple of weeks back or the lone US gunman who killed 13 Afghan civillians, neither of which, please correct me if I'm wrong, even got a note in passing on here. I do appreciate that this is a football forum, so I would expect FM to be greater news, but its not just on here and it does highlight a lack of perspective throughout the media imo.

Agreed Rob as bad as FM's case is, he isn't dead and could make a complete recovery. This sadly is not the case for the 6 UK Serviceman and the many of our troops serverly injured or killed on a weekly basis.

I have to say I found the minutes applause before the Wolves/United match very cringeworthy and not wholly appropriate.

With that I'd agree Rob. I was just pointing out to Tad that saying disgusted in this situation isn't right.

Agreed.

Disgusted was definitely not the right word but for me a bit of perspective is definitely needed.

I wish Muamba well and a speedy recovery. I applaud all those who saved his life with their swift and very professional actions

But I do feel a minutes applause before the game is a little OTT. He hasnt died. He has much to look forward to but his life has changed course. To me it kind of devalues the respect we give to those who have sacrificed everything. How does it warrant the same show of respect as those lads who died serving in Afghanistan ? Sorry if that upsets anyone

just my opinion

Get well soon Fabrice. My best wishes

Cynical!!

If there's one match the crowd need to be loud for 90 minutes it's that one on Saturday!

Really genuinely pleased that he seems to be doing ok, but that minutes applause today was just strange

Ever since Diana this country has gone grief and emotion crazy. I have been delighted to see the lad start to recover but do we need to mark everything that happens these days

If this trend continues we could be giving David Bell a round of applause every week

We'll be chanting "There's only one Andy Thorn" next. Maybe not.
