Father admits Barca game was one of the worst days of Cesc's life

Cesc Fabregas' father claims his son was so devastated by Arsenal's UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona that he 'wanted to shoot himself'.
Arsene Wenger's side were undone by the Catalans for the second successive season in the competition despite taking a 2-1 lead into the second leg at Camp Nou on Tuesday.
The Gunners skipper's careless backheel allowed Lionel Messi to make the breakthrough and Barca went on to cruise to a comfortable 3-1 win, 4-3 on aggregate and reach the quarter-finals.
Although Fabregas issued an apology to his team-mates, his dad Francesc revealed the midfielder was not fit enough to face his boyhood heroes after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring problem.

Powerless

He told The Sun: "I talked to Cesc after the game and he told me he felt so powerless that he just wanted to shoot himself.
"He was looking forward to this match with much enthusiasm. It was such a special game for him because it was against Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
"But it turned out to be one of the worst days of his life.
"His display was badly affected by his physical condition.
"From the first moment he realised he shouldn't be playing.
"After 10 minutes he was feeling his leg. He wanted to contribute but was left behind while Barcelona had a great game."
