3rd round of the FA Cup tonight against Stoke at Leamington's ground - 7pm kick off. Shame it isn't at the Ricoh. Just thought I'd post this because the club hardly publicise it.

Stoke have got a v.promising young Cov kid on trial, we probably missed seeing him as he plays for Stratford but was injured when they beat City in the B'ham Snr Cup,
City should be in there to offer him a trial, Charlie Faulkner is the name

Good player Faulkner is at youth level. I have been a referee at Stratford Towns academy on many occasions and he was head and shoulders above them all. Mind you, Jordan Clark was the best player on the pitch when I done the Cov Academy aswell!

Bit of a trek for a home game.

I know. It's a shame it isn't at the Ricoh. Would have got a decent crowd there

He's gone off the boil lately - needs to watch Armstrong if he wants to score from that far out!

Sambou has now scored

1-0 City. A home tie with Charlton in the 4th round awaits at the moment

Another good result and again showing why the owners need to sort out the academy future.

THe long range shot in the first half actually went in. Hit the bar, bounced down 2ft over the line then out again. Lino was hopelessly behind play so no goal declared . City absolutely ruled the game from start to finish - how they only scored once I'll never know. Very impressive. Tony Mobray and Oggy both there watching and must have been pleased.

We have to give some credit to SISU for forking over the money and making/keeping the academy a Category 2.

Probably the 2nd best decision they made behind signing Mowbray.

Anything below Academy 2 status would show very little ambition. It's great how strong our academy team is despite the facilities they use. The Higgs ( and indeed Ryton) are certainly below average compared to every other academy facility I've seen.

Can't really blame a Lino for not being up with play if someone shots from 45 yards!

What a great win, it will do the young ones good to get a good run. as long as it isn't like the other year when we played Man City I think (the younger ages) and lost about 25-0
