For anyone interested in the fortunes of Warwickshire's lesser teams
(I count Coventry as Warwickshire):

FA Trophy:

29/9 Coleshill Town 1 Kidsgrove Athletic 2
27/10 Carlton Town 2 Bedworth United 1.
Despite the fact Bedworth are at level 7 and Carlton level 8.
That pretty much ends any local interest in this competition.
Coventry United were not eligible to enter.

FA Vase:
1/9 Nuneaton Griff 3 Coton Green 1
1/9 Coventry Sphinx 2 Sporting Khalsha 2
1/9 Rugby Borough 3 Malvern Town 2
1/9 Droitwich Spa 2 Coventry United 4
1/9 Boldmere St Michaels 4 GNP Sports (Coventry) 1
1/9 Rugby Town w/o Team Dudley
1/9 Racing Club Warwick 10 Pegasus Juniors 0
1/9 Coventry Copsewood 6 Eccleshall 3
4/9 Sporting Khalsa 3 Coventry Sphinx 0 (replay)
15/9 Coventry Copsewood 1 Hereford Lads Club 2
15/9 Coventry United 2 Atherstone Town 1
15/9 Wellington Amateurs 6 Racing Club Warwick 3
15/9 Brocton 4 Nuneaton Griff 0
15/9 Rugby Borough 0 Bustleholme 2
15/9 Ingles 0 Rugby Town 2
13/10 Boldmere St Michaels 2 Rugby Town 1
14/10 Coventry United 5 Wednesfield 0
----- COVENTRY UNITED ARE THE SOLE WARWICKSHIRE TEAM LEFT -----
3/11 Coventry United vs Boldmere St Michaels

Coventry United defeated Boldmere St. Michaels 3-0 on 3rd November.
Attendance was 105, which is pathetic support really.
Match report: COVENTRY UNITED F.C. |
They now progress to the FA Vase 3rd round proper on Saturday, December 1st.
They are at home to Hinckley.
They should be favourites to progress as they are level 9 and Hinckley are level 10.
If Coventry United win, they are in the last 32.

Cov United still playing at the BPA aren’t they? 105 fans surelybitd be cheaper to play somewhere else?
Yes, they play at the Butts. I don't know what the rules are for stadiums at their level, but I'm sure there are standards and the Butts meets them.

No agree there would be standards but would imagine the Butts exceeds them by a mile at that level. Just surprising they want such a large venue (woman’s team play there as well?)

Jan 5th: Coventry United beat Leicester Nirvana 3-2 in front of 159 spectators to reach the last 16 in the FA Vase.
One more victory puts them in the quarter finals.
They really deserve better support. Many of the tiny clubs remaining got far better attendances.
Remember the final is at Wembley.
The Fifth Round draw will be broadcast on Monday, live via TalkSport at 12.15
Will update this thread when the draw for the next round is decided.

On Jan 12, Solihull Moors are away to Halifax Town in the last 16 of the FA Trophy.

Not true. The 159 who attended were.
They have a real chance of getting to Wembley, which CCFC do not.
Better support would help them in their home games.
Here is a link to the match report.
Cov United got the winner in the 93rd minute, scored by a player with the unbeatable name of Antonio Alcaraz-Zamora.
United 3-2 Leicester Nirvana

They claimed 458 were there the other week for Sphinx’s visit. We counted 150 tops.

And was there a person in each of those?

I thought better of you than that Otis. If you’re referring to replica kit it’s shirt or jersey. You buy tops from New Look or Forever 21.

Didn’t think it would be worth opening up Wembley! What were previous attendances?

Wow! Impressive

It’s a duel game event so you buy for both the Vase and Trophy on the same day. Keep saying I’ll go but never got round to it.

Weren't they getting more than that when they started out at a lower level or was that BS fed to the Telegraph?

Can't see the point in them playing at the Butts with those sort of crowds.
