When I lived in Fallowfield you could almost see Maine Road but there were still more United than City.

Mos City fans you would meet come from places like Stockport.

When you lived in Fallowfield, almost everyone you lived near was a student so they don't count! East of Manchester was mostly City, but its very arbitrary. I've got three friends from Stockport and two are reds and one a blue.....

I think ST holder that has bought home tickets this season on their account could be a decent compromise.

Then people can get one for their mate that hasn't missed a game or child that for some reason wants to pay full price and isn't a JSB.

No they were not, there's large amounts of non students there as well. As you head west on Wilbraham Road you are skirting south moss side and 100 yards from my house was Kingsway and Burnage.

East Manchester may have been slightly more blue but North and West was very Red and South was mixed but slightly more red.

Interesting to know what they do with the remainder. I think there should be some assistance for those elderly or who have made an oversight etc without an online account that can show some or a ticket stub in the last 3 years!

They'll ask people to submit a 2000-word essay on why they should be offered a ticket, along with a CV detailing how many times you've paid on the gate, or had your mate purchase a ticket rendering you unable to collect points.

I think a PhD thesis on the distribution of Man Utd and Man City fans in Greater Manchester is in order to settle the remaining tickets.

Spoken to someone I know high up at the club. Early next week if there is any remaining they'll be made available at 2 per ST holder. Not sure yet if this'll be delivery or collection only.

Anyone had or seen any issues? Looked on the facebook group and one person got the email saying a randomer had added them to their network but managed to delete them before they bought a ticket, and another send money to someone who promptly didn't get them a ticket and pocketed the cash.

Any left by Saturday, put them on open sale on Sunday morning at the ticket office only with ID and proof of address.

You would have about 3 thousand United fans waiting for the ticket office to open

It's not that exciting - it's a bash command to cURL to the AreaAvailability API that the website uses with some JQ magic to parse the JSON and sum up the AvailableSeats values. Currently 1296 available.

Not sure now that works as if the person had already brought a ticket there is no way the other person can get a ticket unless they qualify

Had a quick look, and if we sold zero tickets after me typing this, there will be some blocks in the top tier with seats available right at the back. That's all there is. Shows that the club have got this about right.

Biggest issue is probably people not knowing that you can joint accounts together to buy seats next to each other. I didn't know you could do that! Otherwise, everyone's had a chance to get one in a fair order.

We have ours linked and have never had a problem for away games, but Ticketmaster blocking accounts on laptops meant had to order via a phone and it would only allow 1 ticket

That's some top dot counting, great effort.

CTRL + F on developer tools, "seat seat-icon available"

I don't understand some of the jargon - what does 'currently 1296 available' mean?

Code:
jq '[.[].AvailableSeats] | add'
does the job nicely.
1224 is the current number left.

Ha yes - you can try running this in the console:

$("div#map-container svg g .available").length

Or add a little bookmarklet:

javascript:alert($("div#map-container svg g.available").length + ' of ' + $("div#map-container svg g").length + ' available')

EDIT: It's complicated though because the seats are rendered in a lazy fashion, so you have to zoom in and make sure you force it to render every section of the map before all the dots will be rendered to get the full count.

I think those were the ones in the lower tier just before the 50+ window by the halfway line

Yeah, it's one ticket per account. You didn't say you needed more than 1

You could try CCFC WEMBLEY COACH TRAVEL - FA CUP SEMI FINAL | Big Parking

May be able to get cheaper elsewhere
