Been to Cambridge. Guess they have a new stadium now though because this was about 1898.

Could be televised if we beat Morecambe and get Dover.

Just back from Kent.
Dover Castle (English Heritage) is worth a visit as is the White Cliffs (National Trust) above the port.

I'll resist pointing out how ground issues crippled Cambridge City...

Yes he did - we lost 1-0 in the 3rd round in 91 (Could have been 92).
We also beat them in a 4th round League Cup replay in 80-81 season (Steve Hunt in a 1-0 win). The season we lost in the semi to West Haaaaam innit.

Ah yes - remember now. Hurst ran in as keen as mustard and the rebound bounced of his shin and went in (saw it on telly and vowed never to watch City again - I broke my vow)

Happy with Cambridge at the Abbey. Been there many times as we have family who live there and it's just 85 miles from Cov. Lovely traditional ground with a new stand behind the goal for away fans that holds 1500. Also they will probably open up the Habbin South which is a covered terrace that runs from the half way line to the away end. I would think we might get up to about 2.500 total if demand dictates.
Got to get passed the replays first though.

We also lost to them in a pre-season friendly when we were still in the top division and they were right down the other end of the league. I remember as I was working in Cambridge and used to go watch them play regularly but of course went in the away end for that game. Remember Telfer blazing a penalty over the bar and me getting no end of grief in the pub afterwards.

I was there ( can't be sure if it was that time), but I remember the coach stopping off at a pub in St Neots on the way home.... all went very vague about that time.....

Edit - it was 80-81 as someone else mentioned

Would be like a home game for me with cambridge being 10miles away. Happy days if we and they win.

I'm hoping for a Friday night TV game if it's Dover as I already have two things in for the Saturday evening (3 December if that's the date) and would have no chance of making it!

Cambridge might be a possibility on the Saturday but not 100%

Then again we need to get past Morecombe first and on yesterday's showing that might be difficult!

Harsh. I'm a Midlands-based Dover fan. I've driven round your ring road. Coventry can only beat Dover by having IKEA. Plus there's lots of investment going in Dover at the moment... http://www.doverport.co.uk/dwdr/ ... http://www.stjamesdover.co.uk/

I was at Cambridge in the league cup run - the round before we played Watford (then lost to West Ham)> Think we won 1-0 and our keeper saved a penalty
