Piastri then pitted a few laps later but came out behind Norris as Lando was faster on fresh tyres. Norris had closed the gap, Hamilton had obviously cooked his new tyres early so it was an overly conservative call. Mclaren garage was split on the decision to switch - more than a few wanted Norris to hold the position to send a message to Red Bull for the driver's championship. Going to look foolish if there's less than 10 pts or so in the final standings.What I don't get is why we're they so worried about keeping Norris ahead of Lewis? He wasn't really a threat was he? They need to be stricter on penalties for stuff like this, no doubt Max will go on a rampage now like he did in 2021 and try to run everyone off the track at every corner.
Regardless, my original point was not a defence of max. Just pointing out the sky bias against him, is allAfter the first incident when he went off track he said it wasn’t his fault so he will just knock everyone off the track.

I disagree, I agree with the thing about the team, but he gives straight answers to the media and not the media-savvy manufactured answers everyone else does and they can’t handle itshe said the way he rants and raves at people in the team is appalling and is bullying and telling fans of his team if they don’t like it “stay at home” is childish and not acceptable

Anyway as to your point - yes there is bias but Max doesn't help make himself a hard person to like. Whether that is with his frankly dangerous driving, his petulance on the radio or his abject rudeness at times I'm not surprised he doesn't have too many fans in the media.
To an extent, but it was a hell of a lunge that basically required everyone else to make allowances for him driving like an idiot. McLaren's strategy set-up isn't working well and some major mistakes this season seems to have created a sense of doubt in the team.McLaren got themselves in an almighty mess scared of a threat that was never really there.
But with Norris, who was clearly much faster, had he let Piastri through early on he'd have had a lot of laps to argue he should be let past (or just overtake on his own).
That could see a lot of disharmony in that team. Imagine if Norris now lost the Championship by less than 7 points?
Panicked because they made a mess of concentrating on Max at Silverstone that probably cost them the race. This time overly cautious about Hamilton who really wasn't a threat having cooked both his sets of hards in going too quick earlier in the early laps after each pitstop.McLaren handed the whole situation ridiculously. trying to guilt trip and gaslight Norris.
Their awful strategy and panic that lewis was a threat created the mess.
Piastri after pitting should have been quicker on fresh tyres could could not even get in to the dirty air of Norris car. The undercut wasn't worth 6 seconds.
