There’s been a train station at the arena for ages, what are you on about. I literally got the 17:08 to Bedworth from the arena yesterday
nothing to do with the football club until now. its strange how I can get a train to and from Nuneaton before and after the game yet you seem to believe its not possible from AustraliaI think having the train run from Nuneaton to Coventry with a stop at the ground would massively help the situation.
Would be so much easier for Nuneaton, Bedworth and Coventry fans and would massively increase the match day experience.
Would also really help the away fans getting the train into Cov city centre and then get out with ease.
I’m surprised we are 20 years on and this still hasn’t happened.

So you can now get a train to the ground on match days? I didn’t know that was now happening.

Noticed this, looked like a crew were getting their overtime in and milking it tbf. That was bizarre. As far as I could tell they had setup the road closure too early?
Been happening for ages.
More issues getting the train home, there never used to be actrain until an hour after kick off
I've been on the train to home games a few times and always ended up getting a taxi home, not recently mind
I came up with a solution that would help most, but fell on deaf ears so far.the road closures aren't going to change unless you can find a way to safely get 30K people away from the stadium without them. The area just isn't designed for that number of people.
people in cars think they should have priority and you get comments like about about idiot pedestrians. of course there are idiot, and drunk pedestrians, but equally even on the roads that are open, Hen Lane for example, you get drivers doing ridiculous speeds when there's hundreds if not thousands of pedestrians. There's idiots on each side.
Leeds Ston and Brum won’t be pushovers
It’s too early for me to be right best editThere’s optimism: get promoted and play Leeds THIS season!
Let’s just calm down. We are 3 games in to the easiest start we all agreed we could have.
I don’t want to be the pessimistic one, but let’s give it 10 games and then take stock.

Easiest start? We haven't played Sheffield United or Sheffield Wednesday yetLet’s just calm down. We are 3 games in to the easiest start we all agreed we could have.

If it is such a money maker it does make you wonder why Ashley has quickly moved it on. I would imagine the day to day running costs of a stadium, staff and its constant maintenance is a lot more than people realise. I dont think a couple of concerts and selling a few burgers quit make up for itNot trying to be a downer and would be happy to be proved wrong. However is it the case that the arena has never made a profit? The losses have reduced over time I believe but that would be an outlay on the club and its finances? But it is an opportunity if things are managed well to bring in additional revenue, which im sure King and the team will be looking into.
Well there was the rumour he was using it to curry favour for a development at Ansty. If it is such a money maker it does make you wonder why Ashley has quickly moved it on. I'd imagine you could assimilate the roles into the current club set up. Likely that Ashley/Frasers is getting the money quicker from Doug then they would waiting for the money to come from arena. If hes making 1m a year from it, and Doug offers him a £10m+ increase on his expenditure - hes making the money 10 years earlier. If it is such a money maker it does make you wonder why Ashley has quickly moved it on. Frasers tried to buy other grounds as well, they were pretty far down the line with Headingley before it collapsed. Maybe it was a sector they wanted to move into but found there just wasn't any availability so decided keeping one stadium was pointless. If it is such a money maker it does make you wonder why Ashley has quickly moved it on. The problem with the train is there’s only one per hour in each direction and afaik there needs to be infrastructure work to make that better. Like all infrastructure in this country it’s been fucked about with for years by a variety of central govts is currently promised for completion in 2033 (though don’t know if the arena bit would be earlier): Midlands Connect - Nuneaton could see ‘rail revolution’ under plans
A train nerd will no doubt be along who knows what they’re talking about but my understanding is without a longer platform longer trains are dangerous for boarding/departing and take longer at stops. Don’t know if you can have one off event trains in the meantime until that work is done.
