just got back from EXIT in serbia (quality festival 10x better than anything over here! anybody else been/go?) which meant i had over a week with no contact to the footballing world. I was foolishly hoping there'd be at least a scrap of good news on my return (gunar signing), but seems only the inevitable happened. anyone know of a reason to be hopeful? phillips still in the pipelines?

Phillips to Blackpool is probably the least depressing news. Essentially:

- SISU have taken out a loan against future prize money to avoid another embargo.
- We haven't signed anyone that plays outfield.
- Deegan thinks he's better than Gunnar.
- Thorn rates Jordan Clarke as a future prem player.

I rate him as future Prem player too - hopefully with us!

The lad is still only 19 and has represented his country. I think he may have a fragile ego at the moment and the one thing we can do for him to help him and in turn our club, is to encourage.
