I know have posted this to another thread but I think it might need it's own, look's like the owners of the Site might be willing to discuss the sale of the land to any suitable buyer.
The owners of the land identified as a potential location for a new Sky Blues stadium have said they are open to an approach from the club.
Planning consultancy Tetlow King represents the Ronald Wilson Trust, owners of the 71-acre former site of Hawkesbury golf course which is believed to have attracted the interest of Sky Blues bosses.
Julian Kemp, land consultant at Bristol-based Tetlow King, said: “We are not averse to any approaches from anyone.
“We have not had any direct contact from the football club at this stage, but it is not unusual for developers to make enquiries to local authorities before contacting the land owner.
“We are committed to promoting the land for development over the next couple of years, and the Trust wants to maximise the value of the land, so we are open to a potential sale to anyone as long as it is in a development context.
“I would suggest the land would be suitable for a stadium in terms of location and size but there are existing problems with infrastructure.
“The fact is there are issues with the road network and that would require some changes.
“But it would be up to the potential purchaser to assess the viability of any proposed development.”
A previous application to build around 200 homes on the site was rejected by the Secretary of State in November following a public inquiry - meaning the way is clear for fresh development plans.
The Telegraph revealed on Wednesday that a site in the Exhall area, just two miles from the Ricoh Arena was under consideration.
Yesterday, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council confirmed it had received an early stage apporach over a possible stadium on its patch.
If Sisu are serious then they should take up the chance for discussions..
My land is also for sale in the area but you have no chance of building a stadium on it.
People need to read the planning, access, conservation history on this area and realise it's a non starter.
Keep the land, if they ever do build I will buy half and we can tarmac it and charge for parking
I agree, if Sisu want to build this stadium and they're at all serious about this land then they need to make this Bristol Firm an offer, I also agree with Chief Dave, it does seem that Tetlow King have looked at the situation and thought there was an opportunity.
If I was them I would have a high level meeting with the council first and find out what the result of any application would be.
I would also look at the cost of upsizing the tunnel under the railway into Bayton Road as this is the only possible access in and out of this area. Prohibitive for 200 houses obviously.
Has this site already been refused permission to build houses after protests by local residents?,so surely a stadium would have no chance.

I think before all that they need to purchase the land, more talk means nothing, if they purchase land it could show there a little more serious and they can go the Council with a bit more emphasism, instead of opening every sentance with "If we buy this site" or "When we buy this site". The land could still be sold at a later date, i.e should they move back to the Ricoh.

i would guess the current owners had the same conversation with N & B council.
if i read the links that were psoted on here correctly the council approved both the original application for 200 houses and the revised application for 160, it was the current under pressure to build new homes for the woefully short housing market goverment that over ruled the council and rejected it, presumably because of the issue's regarding conservation and mine shafts.
lets face it, no one is putting the goverment under pressure to build more sporting venue's so if the did let a new sporting venue go up the opposite side of the motorway from an empty one with a larger capacity (so they cant even argue that they have out grown the old stadium) they are going to feel some heat.
although i do keep imagining an uncaped shaft opening up just as joy and tim are cutting the ribbon at the opening swollowing them both up.
