Looking on the Exeter forum (those links have been great all season, thanks)

The Exeter fans invaed the pitch after the match and sadly I am expecting something equally emabarrassing from our knobheads.

Club statement re fans behaviour

Lets hope it doesn't happen. Elements of the crowds are starting to act like the bad old days.

I have a feeling things could turn nasty after the game between elements of the two sets of fans. Hope I am proven wrong.

What do you think will happen if Notts county win? Polite applause?

OAP Kit man assaulted?

Scum.

It sounds as cringeworthy as the Morecambe love-in.

Don't really have a problem with an end of season pitch invasion if something has been achieved and it can be done with out leading to trouble. Look at the way it was handled when Southampton went up and we went down. Celebrations from them and acknowledgement of what we were going through.

But if you're on the pitch celebrating what goes through someones mind to assault a kit man?

I’m sure tonight will have a very heavy police presence, I’m still concerned to what might happen win or lose.

Atmosphere could be anywhere from toxic to tasty, sunny day pubs be full.... could be some banning others dished out next week.

Stay safe everyone and consider the family’s and young children around you

Bad old days? Whenever have we been this low in the league than perhaps earlier this season? There are no bad old days compared to now!

Sorry with the division and position we are now in there are no bad old days.

Get my point?

The bad old days refer to behaviour, not league position. 'Elements of the crowds' as a plural and when talking about something that happened at Exeter City surely makes it obvious.

Whatever happens tonight, our small band of morons are sure to drag the clubs name through the mud.
Unfortunately some of it always sticks.

It's unlikely the away supporters will get on the pitch tonight.
The home supporters if they win, will get on and the stewards will be in front of our fans.

Yes our lot will be giving it loads to the home fans as usual. We lose this game and it will go off as I don't think our lot will take the defeat too well. I think for the best interests of public safety they should hand us the game.

I sat watching the Exeter fans go mental, running on the pitch and thought to myself "you've won fuck all yet" save it for Wembley (same for us if we get there).

The ONLY time I would think pitch invasions are warranted are when it’s the last ever game at that ground .. other than that I’m not sure why you would do it??

The concourses, streets and bars were incredible post the last minute Wales 2 v 1 victory for England in the Euro’s for example .. running on the pitch would not have been better than that!

I watched the Exeter game on sky and thought it was all pretty good humoured, just a bunch of fans celebrating getting to Wembley.

Don't see the problem myself!

As for it being as bad as the 'bad old days' Utter bollocks!

I don’t think it’s bad. I just genuinely don’t get what you would get out of it if you are over the age of 16 ...

Don’t believe everything you read on Plymouth based news sites. The Lincoln back room staff were a disgrace throughout the game and at the end their kit man tripped up one of our young fans who had run on the pitch celebrating. He got up and pushed the guy, who fell over. That’s it, not some scum attacking an OAP like the media would have you believe. Storm in a teacup and tomorrow’s chip paper - police not taking any action against anyone.

Anyway, I’m delighted to see you’ve got to the final with us - if we couldn’t go up then Coventry are the team I wanted to go up - you deserve better than you’ve had in recent years. But I still hope you get stuffed at Wembley obviously.

Should be a good game - we pass the ball when on a nice pitch and in control of our nerves - we’ll get the first bit, I hope we get the second bit. We should take 20-25k and I imagine you’ll take 35-40k?

Blue vs red too - proper Wembley final.

Glad it's you there and not Lincoln, lovely club Exeter and Tisdale is a good manager and a good man. Here's to a great game and a 4-3 Coventry win with you going up next year and Lincoln relegated!

Living in Exeter and supporting Cov, Im quite happy with the final. Obviously I want Cov to win, but Exeter are my second team so if they win I'll be gutted but happy for them. Shame is no matter what now happens now they won't be in the same league, ideally I would of liked them both to go up. Still games at Plymouth next year, for Cov or Exeter

Really glad that everyone - bar one dickhead - stayed in the stands last night. Was fantastic to have the players coming over and joining in with the atmosphere. One of, if not the, best away days ever.

SBA loud and proud, we really did roar on the boys to victory last night!
