They were probably throwing the jerseys to each player and he thought he was getting one but went over his head to the player next to him lol

Beavon & Maguire-Drew starting for Wrexham v Boreham Wood on BT Sport 1

M-Drew having a mare, giving ball away 3 times in first 10mins already.
SB working his socks off, no service though.
Looks like Ricketts encourages hoofball.

Poor Beavon, looked sharp, subbed but his replacement scored 1 & assisted 1.
M-Drew improved as the game went on.
Ha, he got MotM too.

Van Aanholt looked very accomplished for Palace v Fulham

We owe a thanks to M-D for the corner kick leading to the first goal against Stoke. It was virtually his first kick and it was dead on the mark for Davies to head back - a marked change from normal. He actually looked promising that day, but just never did much more

A quick nod to Cyrus Christie for his Premier League debut playing for Fulham on Sat.

Another one written off as "Championship at best" IIRC

Pleased for Cyrus. Does a lot of good work off the pitch for Kick It Out and local charities

I see Haynes was named MOTM for Shrewsbury at the weekend. Hope he does well, needed a fresh start. Think league 1 is probably his ceiling but no telling how players can develop when they move elsewhere.

If he plays well for Shrewsbury he could follow a few others who've done well there in our direction

Grandisons dropped off the radar, signed for Colchester summer 2016, released summer 2017 without making a single appearance and disappeared out the football league.

Yep, had trials at Shrewsbury and Aldershot over the summer. Suppose it must be difficult for goalkeepers compared to outfield players to make a big enough impression to be signed over 1 or 2 trial games

Would think he will get to the point soon where he needs to sort something else he is dropping into semi pro.

And put another one away in the shoot out which Cheltenham won 6-5

Maguire Drew scored again for Wrexham

Adam Armstrong brace in 5-1 win for Blackburn away at Carlisle

Jon Stead 2 goals for Notts County in 3-3 draw with Boro. Currently pens

Quick q-where’s Ben Stevenson?

That’s what I’d say to Bayliss if he asked to be transferred...

Apparently was playing with an injury, no idea how much that changed things for him.

In their U23s like he was here before he left. The only difference is, he's earning loads more.

48 first team appearances though CJ.

Although I agree about the money.

Might need a new thread to discuss the agent, money, player development debate.

For what it’s worth I feel players get a decent wage as a professional, whatever level they play at and that time on the pitch (not in the unders league) is worth more in player development than the extra they get paid for transferring (& not playing) for a bigger club.

Yeah I posted the article in the Maddison thread because it’s behind a paywall on the Telegraph site

Interesting Southgate called him up to train with the seniors in May but unfortunately for him was injured in Norwich’s final game
