Last season, you could tell there was a great L1 player in there. He just lost a yard or two of pace that meant he couldn’t quite cut it in the championship. At least how we wanted him to play.

Against Oxford in the cup, his movement and finishes for his brace was fantastic. Yes, we were 4-2 up and Oxford going all-out attack to be picked off but it was a textbook striker performance.
