Yep-hoping this isn’t the case. If you get the chance you have to ultimately grab it with both hands. In reality we were beaten (albeit on Pens in the end) by the better team on the day.

Agreed but if hamer didn't get injured we could have won

Hope he smashes it always had a soft spot for him, no doubts if he stayed we might have stayed up but then again we might not have had the same revival.
Hoping his coming out of retirement means his depression has gotten better!

I remember Marvin Sordell getting clattered at Fleetwood in one of Tony Mowbray’s last games in charge. It was a wet, cold day and Marvin was lying there in the mud in the penalty area at the away end and had received no protection from the disinterested referee. He was obviously in pain and as we were losing he was getting dog’s abuse from our fans. If there was ever a situation that showed the unglamorous side of football, that was it.

Fucking hell , that puts a lot of our troubles into perspective doesn't it ? A truly genuine lad comes back from 3 ACL injuries and is on course to maybe play beyond league 2 and his dreams are shattered again
Awful,awful news

Interesting fun fact:

Ysrael Zuniga, who played for us briefly from 1999 until 2001, is a dentist in his native Peru these days.

His overall career stats are impressive, incidentally (dentally ), over 250 goals scored in 500-odd appearances at club level.

Todd Kane has joined Ebbsfleet United, bottom of the National League. Lewis Page and Dominic Samuel also there.

Mental to think him and Dabo were our right backs only a couple of years ago!

He's a better player than that level surely? It appears that his attitude has done for him though. Ebbsfleet was Godden's club weren't it?

Maybe better at his stage to be a regular starter at that level than bench / rotation at L1?
