Why did he even drop to L2 straight away? Surely could have signed for someone in L1 quite easily.

I suspect he had injury/fitness issues as his performances in L2 were absolutely panned which suggests he is done. I think he failed a medical at a L1 side before FGR too, that may have just been a rumour though

Leeds are trying to sign Hamer. Be surprised if he moves to another Championship side

Never scored a goal in his career but scored 2 own goals in a game. Must be a record

Proper lump of a CB. Couldn't run, couldn't pass and lost his spot to Hyam.

Git pissed up with the cov fans on the train on the way to Wembley didn't he? He was what we needed at the time which was a big, no nonsense hoof it guy.

Didn't he tweet that the firm would get us through away at notts county (the firm being grimmer, mcnulty and co) after they cried that he stamped on their player and got a retro ban

At the time I was disappointed we let Davies go as I thought he was a decent player. His subsequent career being in the lower leagues though shows once again that MR knows best He was wholehearted though and certainly played his part in lifting the club out of League 2.

I don't think so myself, but even so, it was four years ago regardless. A lot can change in that time. Like I said, the last two seasons he was with us and the season at FGR, he has been a noticeable weak link consistently. It was going downhill a long time before that penalty miss.

If I’m not mistaken, the turning point was him being left on when clearly injured v Derby (was it Ebosele he was up against?). Absolutely ruined him, then constantly rushed back and broke down again.

Tom Davies was alright - as somebody has mentioned he was what we needed in L2 but was quickly found to be not up to standard in L1

Ayari seems to be in favour at Brighton under this new bloke, off the bench in both Prem games and played a full 90 last night

You could always see there was a player there, but it was blatantly obvious early on it wasn't going to work - he was 19 at the end of the day

I think we actually offered him an extension from memory but he chose to leave as he wanted to be starting

I think he went to Bristol Rovers as did a few of our other players. But be of the coaches / scouts went there too? Some kind of link - can’t recall exactly.

I do recall MR stating that BR pay high wages.

Oh ok. Yeah he did get pelters and undeserved

Ayari never really showed it for us but given time in sure he would have. Robins didn't say he just wasn't in a position to give him the minutes he needed to develop
