To be honest, on a human level, how the hell do you motivate yourself to play for bottom of league 2 Forest Green when you were the person who missed the penalty kick to get a team to the Premier league?
That must be absolutely devastating and take huge mental strength to get over it.

He was taken off at half time against Swindon a few games ago. To be one of the worst performers in the worst team in League 2 is some fall from grace.Of course missing the penalty will have done some damage to a person's psyche, and he probably needs some psychological support.
That said, he needs a bit of a reality check anyway. He spent the last two seasons in the championship which was almost a false position for him, because he wasn't anywhere near capable of it. He's now talking about how he's going to play in the premier league. That kind of mentality is more delusional than aspirational, similar to thinking he could score a penalty which was based on nothing but ego. If he isn't careful he is going to end up in non-league, cause based on many comments I've seen from FGR fans, he is well below the level required even for them.
