I think Ashley would have been extremely pissed off that SISU in conjunction with Doug tried to get the court to reject his bid.

No, the deal was with ACL2006 which was owned by Wasps (Richardson) but is now owned by Fraser Group. Has the lease now been transferred?

because the club knew full well ashley was getting the ground. club timing of the new ‘takeover’ was a parting shot at ashley. Why you so oblivious to that?

Nothing in any of this that changes my mind, I still think Ashley will own us before long.
I don’t think he’s prepared to play SISU’s long drawn out ‘tit for tat’ games, as this show he’ll just break out the big guns and force the issue.

same thing. Nothing was transferred hence new agreement is required. What part can’t everyone grasp? Sisu need to sign the new agreement and as of yet. Have not

As per Simon Jordans comments, the council may wish to see the arena developed into something else. That could have been the attraction all along, rather than us.

Buy a stadium for 13 million and then develop it into other things that are worth tens of millions. Simple really.

Said if before (not sure how it works- bit it was explained as possible by some on here)
CCC had the choice/chance, as freeholders, to transfer original sub lease conditions to Fraser group. (Or any buyer)
They obviously chose not to...

Here are a few factors that I feel need to be considered.

I was aware that Ashley was in for the club. SISU want top dollar and the club isn't worth what they want. Someone comes from out of nowhere to buy the club and the stadium, gets the club, but not the stadium. A master cock up by SISU in an effort to get the stadium cheap and push up the value of CCFC.

We all know that Ashley is a tough negotiator as are SISU. They thought they were being smart but have fisted themselves. Ashley now has the upper hand. I still understand that he wants the club and feels that SISU are taking the piss. The new owner no longer has time and I do not believe the funds to build a new stadium. So I ask who is the only person that would be prepared to buy the club now? A certain Mike Ashley.

It is also my understanding that he wants to build a hotel on car park C.

So now the question of if Mike Ashley is serious about kicking us out, what the hell can he do with a stadium? I think precisely nothing. He would need planning permission to demolish it and to be fair, I don't think that you could do much with the building. I can't see the council giving him any planning permission to do anything, regardless of what twats they have been over this whole mess.

This business deal is a chess game and the check mate will come soon, the gas has been turned up on SISU, let's see what they do next, because they do want out.

PS I still believe Hamer has gone. Hopefully I'm wrong on that one.

So it means nobody else could have tried and offered more?

You could say he was playing silly buggers by saying he would pull out....

Going of what Gimoc is saying I could see 2 possible reasons Sisu haven't signed yet:

Sisu trying to get a lower price on the deal - Wouldn't be the first time they've tried this.

They feel as if Doug should be the name on the documents not them etc..?

Yet when it was flagged up as a potential issue that Ashley would try and pull this kind of stunt it was dismissed as impossible

Why was the existing deal directly with Wasps and why would a new deal be directly with Frasers. Surely any deal to play at the stadium would be made with the stadium management company?

Simple fact is you don't start an eviction process because you're waiting on some paperwork

Mike Ashley turns out to be an absolute bell end, what a surprise.

Even if this is a ploy to get the club (which it is) all it’s going to do is harm us short term at the very least, and potentially long term effects too.

We literally can’t have anything as fans, just as things come together on the pitch, we get screwed off it - again!

Exactly what I predicted he would do.

Wasps had identified major issues at the stadium meaning it needed (at Least £20m) spending on it. That is why he got it so cheap.

I said he would buy it cheap, and then evict CCFC, as their 10 year lease expired the moment the ground went in to administration. Nobody believes the recent sale of CCFC by SISU, it was simply smoke and mirrors designed to try to persuade MA to give them a lease. Not happening.

So, will the real owner of CCFC now step forwards from out of the shadows?

Either they sell to MA, or I suspect he will demolish the stadium and build his new HQ there. Coventry City Council must be entirely fed up with both Wasps and CCFC, so my guess is they will not care about the loss of either, and will simply see a new build for MA's offices as jobs for locals.

Ironic really. Gave me more than a chuckle.

its not the same thing though is it. if you have an agreement with a company and that company still exists how do you end up with the agreement no longer being valid and a new one being required. Especially if we're supposed to believe the new agreement is on the same terms.

I don't see in what world you're in that situation and you're waiting for some paperwork so you decide to start the eviction process, block the youth game at the weekend and void access passes

I think you should listen to Simon Jordans comments this morning on the radio.

He obviously had talks about purchasing the stadium and discussed with those involved the future of the stadium.

He says the council has made deals behind the scenes, granted permissions etc for an alternative use of the site.

Yes it's Simon Jordan, however he wouldn't make this comments if this wasn't true as he would be opening himself up to legal issues.
