So I have a scenario to bring everybody back to earth with a bump
(I am of course joking, loving life at the minute as a Cov fan)
But.......Here's the scenario, were top at Christmas, have played some good football and Mark Robins is catching the eye of let's say....Middlesborough, who have sacked their manager after finding themselves bottom half after a terrible run.....they make an approach for Mr. Robins.....does he stay or does he go ? He's got previous for jumping ship when we're playing well, we all remember the "Sky blue blood" incident.
Personally, I think he's here for the long haul, I think he's got a long term plan and I think he'll see it through.
This is all of course hypothetical, just interested to here people's opinions. And please no "Can't we just enjoy right now, pessimistic turd" etc. Just something I've been thinking about the last couple of days.
Oh shut up you tart!!Here's one. The transfer window is still open so we can still lose any of our players.
Not yet it isn't, but give it a couple of seasons. His previous record isnt great in the championship or league one
Sounds like getting married. You don't know where you are going or how you will get there. You just hope you don't fuck up too many times.Good post, I'm not entirely convinced it's exactly as you say, but I hope it is:emoji_thinking: and if
It is we are in for one hell of a ride.
Rightly or wrongly most people place their Bank Balance at the top end of their list Of prioritys, if a clubI would like to think that after last time he will actually stick around and get us back to the championship. His overall win % must be very high with us!

Throw in the week before TF has announced we have agreed to play at Nuneaton next season

Fully understand where your coming from, hope he dies

But how could that be possible if we say get promotion?Throw in the week before TF has announced we have agreed to play at Nuneaton next season
Two years ago.Anybody know when the deadline date is to let the EFL know where we are playing next season.
Only thing I can see happening is sooner or later if he is successful (and I think he will be) there will come a point that he may walk away as he won't be able to take the club any further due to budget restrictions. It will then be a case of him jumping ship if Sisu don't back him and again who would blame him. Shame as it seems a nice fit at the minute.I don't think any championship clubs would delve into league 2 to pick a manager and I don't think Robins would leave for a league 1 or league 2 club.
I reckon he's here for the longer term.

Nice of you to rain on our parade haha!
I certainly think he's been given the resources to have a successful season this year. It's now on him to deliver this success. Based on our time in L1, we had the resources to build competitive teams that were good enough for playoffs. So I only think it'll be a problem if we ever got promoted to the championship, but that's not even worth thinking about at. Let's just get out of this league asap!
Yea full house of 4000 every week cant moan about attendances then.Fully understand where your coming from, hope he does stay for a while.
However, what does he do or say next season when we are playing at Nuneaton or the Butts?
Or of we move away again, after winning the league 2% angry rest masturbating. It will be interesting to see people's reaction if we do well, 98% will be over the moon. 2% will be fuming.

They'll be able to double ticket prices then according to one football finance expert on here. Supply and demand apparently.

Good to see people are getting angry about moving away in advance now we are doing well.
