At your ground such trades are conducted in the fields.One of biggest shitholes I’ve been to watching football, was the area around your old ground, their was a prostitute stood touting for business on the way out. Really run down shit hole.
Open air concourse, 1 refreshment kiosk, only 4 turnstiles, relatively small toilets. Felt like it was done on the cheap. was down some random side road and felt isolated as fuck, made the area around the CBSA seem like a hive of activity.
Then you left your local and went to the match.

Those were the things I liked about it. Like a bit of squalor in a football ground.
Worst feature was, like every new ground, stands are miles from the pitch. It seems the penny has finally dropped and someone has given the architects a dry slap. The newest grounds, Brentford and Spurs for example, have avoided this.
Going to Nottingham Forest or County, parking in one of the parks by the river Trent and then walking along the river to either stadium is one of the most pleasant and relaxing ways you could ever wish to get to any football stadium. Marvellous.Is a 'library' and every city or town a 'shithole' and everyone's fans are 'fucking shit'. Including ours as the away fans at the CBS tell us so too.
Really is so cringeworthy and getting on my nerves a bit now. I get it at some places like Mansfield, which really is a genuine shithole or even MK Dons whose fans are fucking shit, but it's become a staple part of our repertoire.

One chant that has always been on my hate list is, for example, singing to Ipswich fans, 'small town in Norwich, you're just a small town in Norwich' Utterly thick.... It doesnt take too many brain cells to sing 'Norfolk' rather than Norwich

Its been pulled down it’s a car park now for the hospital.I Remember driving past one of the most desolate looking social clubs i've ever seen on our way to Oakwell, the Pogmore i think it was. You could smell the despair even with the windows up.

Nowt wrong with Barnsley, never seen a prostitute on the street, hardly any murders, zero gang crime, homelessness is minimal, has is drug use, compared to other towns, yes some villagers are run down, but that’s more to do with the government shitting on us constantly, rather than the people themselves bringing it down, there’s some very nice areas, and the countryside we’re surrounded by is stunning.That's rich coming from someone from fuckin Barnsley.

Massive away end, unreserved seating/standing, close to town centre, close to railway station, easy access to motorway.
That was the lounge, which was palatial compared to the barHonestly mate that back room looked like the processing room in a prison.
