Reminds me of the last game of the season, 84/85. We beat champions Everton 4-1 on a glorious sunny day. The only game my late Mom ever went to.

Yep, sat in the Everton end for that one, couldn’t get a Cov ticket. A good performance, but Everton definitely on the beach. An important result, because would we have won the cup if we’d been relegated in that season? Wonder how many players in that team were in the Cup Final. Quite a few, I’d have thought….

We were in the Thackall Street (North) Stand. Only time in all those years I ever sat there. Only sat in the Main Stand for Central League games. Was usually on the Kop or on the West Terrace.

I’ve never heard it called that before, I’ve always known it as the Sky Blue Stand.

I just emailed ticket office and got an almost immediate reply, A further email will be sent out nearer the date with teh PDF attached.

This is a huge bugbear of mine - why not just send the ticket with the original confirmation? But no, why manage with one Email when you can do it with two (or more!)

I'm waiting to see if it's worth it for the Everton game. Got this feeling they are going to be sending mostly their U21s.

Won’t be bothering it’s a way overpriced meaningless midweek game against Everton u21s.

Club have missed a trick by not including it in the points system,

Why would they send the U21’s? Until they announced Roma we were the highest ranked team they are playing pre season.

Agree completely. I think attending pre-season friendlies, especially midweek ones, are a sign of commitment.

It’s a pig going to midweek games that actually mean something, so I can’t even begin to feel interested.

Yeah, they’ve missed a trick not putting points on. Even if people only bought for points, it’s still revenue.

Thousands of tickets available, less than 10k on Tuesday night unless there's a huge surge

Club should've included priority points and it would've probably increased sales by 50%
