Not sure if there's been a thread on this before, but someone in Europe is doing a good scouting job - Wright, Van Ewijk, Sakamoto, Binks, Dovin, Torp, Rodrigues, Bassette. Long may it continue.

The media team must be begging Doug not to sign any more nationalities before they run out of room on their ‘here’s the kick-off time in all the countries are players are from’ graphic.

I can’t think of a team in the EFL that has recruited as well as us over the last 7/8 years. Abroad and domestically. Only possible argument would be Luton.

Home Office relaxes requirements for recruitment of international players

The new requirements allow clubs to sign international players who do not meet the current requirements, but who show exceptional promise:
www.freeths.co.uk

The relaxing of the visa laws for players to move to the UK has had a massive impact. It was only a couple of years ago that we couldn’t sign Marco Rente as he didn’t satisfy requirement entry and was therefore denied.

We are seeing a lot of teams using the foreign market more now such as the Japanese influx in the last few windows.

Makes a really nice change from seeing exactly the same faces each year in the championship with a different team each time.

I'd still take Marco Rente if he was affordable. (which I doubt now)
