It looks like the people judging it are councillors and people from the council with some who are close to Lucas? You can pretty much guarantee they will say nothing was done wrong can't you?

There are some documents here - http://democraticservices.coventry.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=161&MId=10965

An article here - http://coventryobserver.co.uk/news/...-media-war-complaint-flawed-whitewash-report/

This bit is very interesting if true, isn't it?

One email between Weber Shandwick staff on December 11, 2012, which initially mentions the latest round of Ricoh manoeuvres and negotiations, states: “But upshot of call is that they want to go after Seppala... “They are keen on us building up a new timeline to set out a PR attack on Joy.
“I don’t really want to get into mudslinging from ACL, as I think that starts to eat away at credibility with fans.”
On February 16, 2013, one Weber Shandwick employee emailed another colleague saying: “Can we get an insight into (redacted) state of mind? Is there a chance they will turn on (redacted). On Joy?”
The email goes on to suggest the Press should get down to the part of London where she lives, and that her address could be found on a website.
Another, in April 2014, states: “The job required was done on Seppala in the very early stages of the campaign.”

Good post Nick because it's about time BUT all I'm asking for is a little more honesty and clarity however do you think CCC are accountable for any of the decisions taken over recent years? Coombe Abbey Hotel or recent election of Deputy Leader are just a couple that Spring to mind but sure there are many others.

Nope, they can get away with anything they want pretty much.

It is like me doing something wrong at work but my mate judging whether I did anything wrong or not.

What I don't get is this:

Ms Seppala highlighted the extracts from the Weber Shandwickemails which made several comments about her personally and alsomade suggestions about how to locate her home address.

Then his findings:

I find that there was not any strategy of targeting Ms Seppalapersonally in the press. I find that the Council considered thatthere was a need to adopt a robust defence of their approach inthe press but that was a legitimate approach to take in thecircumstances.

The emails are here - http://democraticservices.coventry.gov.uk/documents/s26521/Appendix 5b Documents.pdf

After the clusterfuck of putting money into companies that produce war items banned by our own country, and then having the audacity to say they are trying to change these companies ideas. I look forward for the same councillors to explain to the people whom these weapons have ravaged why losing a limb is for the greater good.

Whoever has come up with this garbage needs to be de-selected.

Not very socialist or ethical.

Amazing how close the council were to the PR firm which apparently was independently commissioned by ACL which made the detail of cost exempt from FOI.

And the bit where they are talking about a story for the telegraph.

A fair few between the PR company and Cov Council email addresses.

Why is the Cov Council Employee going on about the Media War and Briefing the CET editor? Ending it with "Are we talking to Richard keys?" :)

No they were voted in to represent the people to do what they believed their constituents wanted, this happens in every council in the country.

Just glad I never Voted for them.....

And while were on the honesty wagon..... Where the fuck is our New Ground you promised us..........

New ground, that old chestnut. Anyway, does anyone here feel the Labour Party in Coventry has turned itself into a closed shop. Been looking online and all I can find is help with my diet.

http://labourincoventry.org.uk

Its like they have given up listening to people.

What exactly is the point of this exercise? The whole thing is a farce and I'm not sure how they can get away with it.

Just goes to show that once again the club and the fans had no regard shown for them.

I think it is so the council can say the council did nothing wrong, quite obvious.

To say there was no PR assault etc, even though it is in black and white in emails is a bit strange.

It is a blatant and obvious lie. I'm surprised the electorate is so apathetic and let this go

To be honest you could make a case for anything from that evidence.
Where's the source ?

Another Les Reid article, no bias there then :thinking about:

Does anyone honestly think 2 parties in business in a serious fight are going to play nice? It was a fight to the death with high stakes because SISU made it that way. When you take on a ruthless bully you fight to win or give in. All's fair in love and war ... And business.
Time for fans to move on.

People are talking about the documents on the council site?

You also posted a link to Reids article, which (in its headline) calls the council report a 'flawed' and 'whitewash', so no bias there :thinking about:

Reading the actual report will take some time, it is many pages.

Isn't it great to see the spirit of capitalism flying so high. They should right a book about it.

At least now you can stop peddling the tripe that freehold was a deal breaker as one of the letters clearly states a 125 year lease was acceptable to the club owners

Seems the council have been less than fair with the clubs owners in some areas. Thats always the problem when your voting big Al from down the pub in to a so called professional political role. In local politics their will always be small men syndrome. That being said our owners still had plenty of oppertunity to get a deal done.

Still interesting about the Supporters Direct person working with the Council / ACL's PR company. Again, maybe SISU had a point when they said they didn't want to talk to certain fans groups because of it?

I haven't read all of the documents because most didn't make too much sense.

There was also the one where Joy Seppalla wrote to Ann Lucas and they were arranging a meeting "away from the public eye" and requested it be private, then it appeared in the Telegraph.
