Do you think he'd come back to us?? Personally I'd love him managing us, top bloke, ready to take charge now and surely wouldn't bare a grudge against the way the knob heads running our club at the time treated him??

He'd want to be paid actual money, so we've got no chance.

I don't think what happened before would come into it, i don't think any serious manager would come here with the situation at the club right now. It would be professional suicide, that is why we have AT the scapegoat.

Black is shit! He has 0% win rate after losing today. That's a terrible record.

The reason being that Black was highly successful (if you're interested you can see the stats here)

AT has not been successful at all. The most prominent 'reasons' for keeping him on have been 'because nobody else could do better' and 'who would want the job'.

There is really no comparison.

Eric Black was only in charge for a short time i still think he's a better assistant manager.

We could have a management team of people that Coventry folk overhype.

Eric Black & Andy Thorn joint managers. McSheffrey assistant and the Enemy as scouts

There is more chance of Andy Thorn winning manager of the month (any month) than Black even giving 1% consideration. It's idiotic to even think of the possibility (Thorn winning MOM I mean).

If AT had been sacked at the end of last season then we'd be having threads about him. Black was here a short period and did well. History therefore has been very kind to him.

True but he did have longer than Thorn and he did show real promise. I find it hilarious that people think Thorn plays entertaining football - do they remember Black? Goals galore -- and they should check the squad that he had at his disposal. He inherited what he got and he got on with it. It was an opportunity missed and no-one could ever compare Thorn with his clueless approach and the intelligent and thoughtful Black.

Yes, I remember the Black years with affection. However, we've moved on. I get so pissed off when it comes to getting another manager that the same old names come out of the hat. OK, I'm not surprised with Black but the other name regularly thrown about it McAllister. And he was piss poor.
