EMC was anonymous first half bar the excellent finish. He was next level 2nd half. Conclusion: he’s a massive confidence player. But it’s beyond a doubt that he is quality and the goals put him in an elevated bracket.

I thought he just looked ‘on it’ from the start. Maybe more effective second half but thought he looked up for it and showed a good intensity first half as well.

He scored the goal, as you quite rightly pointed out. Also, how unlucky can you get, with the shot that was going in, only to be stopped by Rudi in the way. He was unlucky not to have scored two in the first half.

The Peterborough owner said that EMC would be the best player in the Championship. This was after we had bought him, not talking up a player to sell.
Most players take time to settle. See last seasons change of form for Rudi and BTA. I believe EMC has been battling with niggling injuries since he arrived. He is in the groove now and hopefully will get even better.

Completely agree. He’s now a really important player for us. Someone just needs to keep in his ear about how good he is.

Ephron is one of the few in our squad who look capable of making the step up to the Premier League.

I don’t know if the Swansea defenders were just pussies, but it was a dominant physical performance from EMC yesterday, the amount of times he held the play up or muscled off a defender to pick up a loose ball was phenomenal.

EMC has made a lot of defenders look v weak this season. He’s got a lot of good physical traits which leads me to believe he’ll adapt to Prem better than most of our squad. Our whole attack suffers whenever EMC is out of starting eleven.

15 goals and assists is looking like a decent shout for him this season.

I think the thing that catches my eye every time with EMC is how he is able to take the ball with his back to goal, then in one motion he's front to goal running at the defender and, usually with the second touch, past him. Sakamoto very similar.

Don't get me wrong, Galbraith was clearly Swansea's tidiest player on the ball, cracking bit of movement to the right of their box in the second half when we pressed them, which allowed them to get out I might add, but he is not a fullback and EMC could see that early on and terrorised him all game. With an honourable mention to the moment Cabango wanted to get physical and EMC just popped it past him.

Sakamoto is tidy with his back to goal, but he can’t blow by defenders like EMC can. His value is his chemistry with MVE (in attack and defence) and his precise shooting and crossing. Saka’s dribble moves tend to be with the goal of creating space for a cross rather than to get past a defender.

V different players, effective in their own rights but I definitely feel we’re more reliant on EMC in attack.

I hold my hands up...i was in the 50/50 bracket with him. Then when you factor in he cost £4m plus. A bit like Kitching i thought it was way too much.

All credit to the scouts and coaching staff.

Yeah, definitely. Apologies, I left that part of my sentence too open-ended, I only compared Sakamoto and EMC in terms of the ability to turn towards goal almost seamlessly, I wasn't comparing overall dribbling style, which as you say is different.

Be interesting to see how many offers we get for him in January.

EMC has really come on again this season!

He's like a bulldozer down that wing sometimes completely bullies full backs at this level.

His short term contract at SU runs out next week, if Lampard wants him, he can go back in for him on Jan 1st.

If we dont go for him in Jan we will know it was bollocks.

Surely Sheffield will be in pole position for offering him an extension

This strain of flue is such a bastard to get out of your system! Takes 2/3 weeks to shift it. Look at MVE he is still gobbing up gruesome greenies when he comes off.
