Looks like he’s playing within himself. Needs a goal and some time on the left to settle. Doesn’t look a £4m player though.

Bit of luck he is on 3/4 for the season and notched the winner against spurs. Let's revisit this in March.

He's getting in good positions to score and works hard for the team , I think he'll come good

It’s not really the scoring I’m worried about his general play is really limited and he doesn’t seem to be able to beat his man, he just gets near to him and falls over for a free kick.

He’s been much better on the left and makes some great runs in behind. Most of what he’s trying to score are tap ins and just haven’t quite worked out yet. Think he’ll score a few goals this season. Less than 10, but above 5 is my guess.

I don't see it with him yet

I know a Peterborough fan and she can't speak highly enough of him, bums him

When I said he's been pretty poor she reacted like i just stole her cat

For me he’s just adjusting. He’ll be a real handful once he’s settled down

I honestly thought he’d come with pace, and be our pacey winger. But i’ve seen my nan plod along faster. He is honestly so slow

He looks like he’s won a competition to play so far…

He's been inches away from having 3 or 4 goals to his name, playing a bit part.

I like how he is always on the back post. The goals will come for him.

A pacey, strong winger than can cross the ball with either foot and scored 15 goals from Left wing last season doesn't look like a £4m player in today's market?

he's taking a bit of time to settle into a new team/system sure but he's going to be a very good player for us over the next few years.

Based on the Man Utd game, or anything else?

EMC been unlucky to not have scored three goals so far this season. He will come good I think.

You make your own luck in football, he wasn't unlucky against Watford, he should of scored

Top players miss chances like that all of the time.

You do make your own luck in football, which is why I think him getting on the end of crosses at the far post and getting beyond the last man time and time again, suggests he’s going to eventually score a few goals; even by accident!

As I have said before I do wonder what the Venn diagram of people who slag off EMC and who slagged of Wright and Simms at the start of last season.

Id actually like to see some posts. Any spreadsheet people help me out?!

Im unsure if he’ll be ‘amazing’ for us, but he’s getting in the right positions and I still think he’ll get 5 goals minimum this season. Is that enough? Not sure. He doesn’t seem to be the kind of wide player that runs at his man a lot, but you can see he is quite skillful.

I think he'll get more than 5 easy. He just needs one and he will be off. Good player in there, just lacking in a bit of confidence.

Big step up from League 1 and he needs time to adjust, a goal will help his confidence and once settled he’ll be a real asset for this club imho.

He just needs to settle down and grow in confidence. He has show some moments of magic but hasn't been able to find his game yet.

it will come and then he will bang them in.

Cov fans man

the blokes played less than 4 games, after stepping up a league, and some of those minutes was against a prem team, almost all of those minutes he's been out of position

He could've had about 3/4 goals already, but because he hasnt, "he hasnt got it" and isnt going to be good enough!

There's not a single other player in our squad that would have got in the positions he has to "nearly" score.... should he have scored a couple...yes, will he be a good player for us...yes

he did more in 20mins than Wright did in 70 last night

One thing I've noticed he does a lot is running away when the fullback gets it especially in our own half, sometimes you need to stand still to create space or come short and receive the ball to feet, rather than always looking to run in behind.

Does look quite low on confidence at the moment, but that will come with more game time.
Still far too early to judge. See Simms and Wright last season, or even Gyokeres when he first arrived

What does he actually do?

A winger needs to do 1 of 3 main things at a time

- Take them on, Stand your defender up on the outside and cross it in
- Take them on, cut inside, get a shot away
- Cause worry to the full back by going at them. Make them know they are in for a hell of a fight

He does none of any of that. He runs towards the full back, dallys around with it, then passes it back to a usually marked midfielder
