Finished Seamus Coleman’s career tonight. Guy looks frightened and rightly so. Quick and strong.

He's a proper unit . Won't be many right backs fancying playing against him

He holds the ball up so well too. Defenders struggle to get it.

As I said - at the minute, based on pre season showing, fitness, sharpness and minutes in the bank.
Still a week and a half to go.... (Only just going through match thread now - and understanding your post!)

Truly bizarre mate . Some on here think a transfer fee dictates if one player starts over another

He was absolutely brilliant for Posh at what he did for the goal today. Always looking to get on the end of balls from the opposite side. Scored a lot of ‘ugly’ looking goals for Posh where he almost bundled the ball home at the far post. Really think he’s going to score a hatful with the quality of Tats delivery

Wright wasn’t even fit to be in the squad tonight so it’s hardly a groundbreaking statement

Don’t get your hard on for EMC, who you’ve presumably seen play for less than 2 full matches tops, over Wright who was one of our best players last season. It’s weird.

Its great that we have 2 very good players that can play in that position. Different players but i think Mason Clark is going to be very effective in the championship and we already know Wright is..

Good depth.

Based purely on Wright's injury and missing most of the pre-season, he will probably not start against Stoke, but will likely play some part off the bench.

You’d think this is the team thats probably gonna start at Stoke, unless Sheaf is fit who’d come in for Allen or Eccles

EMC has to start against Stoke. He's earned it and Wright needs to build fitness.
EMC may be especially important in away games because he can hold the ball up well, has a good physical presence and.makes himself available.

100% would start EMC based on last night. His link up play with Simms was brilliant. On the note of the fee for wright. Mason wasn't exactly cheap either. What a great dilemma to have tbh

And if Wright plays against WB and scores 3 will he have earnt it too ?

Nothing is finalised yet ….. I thought EMC was great last night but we have 2 more friendlies and I’m sure Robins has an open mind.

Haji has amazing linkup with Simms too the amount of times those to laid off eachother to tee off a shot or played a 1-2 around a Center Half, or made a decoy run, they have a good linkup too so that also adds to the dilemma

We have 10 days before the Stoke match. No way Wright will be fit enough to start that after his preseason. A sub yes.

Either way in the Haji/EMC debate it is great because are two completely different styles so give us options depending on the team we are playing or how the match is panning out.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Torp start too, but other than that surely has to be the same team
