what happened to supporting a football team where you would talk about the next or last game, signings, players and formations. Win or lose a few beers before and after the game all made for a great weekend and friday at work.

Supporting ccfc now just means we talk and argue about the same crap week in week out politics, sisu, wasps etc. Supporting a football team should be about football and bot worrying if you will have a club or ground next season.

Im now finding myself bored and tired of the same crap week in week out, season after season with no light at the end of the tunnel.

As a season ticket holder i cant even get excited or look forward to the next game as quite frankley ive had my fill of the whole crap and wont be renewing next season.

Anyone els lost that enthusiasm ?

Still care about the footie, but there is always a lingering feeling of hopelessness to our plight.Don't go as much as I used to, and this is pat of the reason why. Thats a personal choice of course - and the usual rhetoric on here does become tiresome.

well only one home game on a Saturday in September, only one Saturday home game in October and no home games on Saturday in December, tends to fuck the weekend meeting up with lads dosent it.

This place was exceptionally bad for the bickering from Friday through to today. It's no coincidence that there wasn't a game this weekend.

It is even nicer when we win.

I think talking football confuses some on here.

It is awful with the fixtures this season. And because I work shifts I can only make Tuesday games on morning shift but EVERY game so far I've been on afternoon's.
Colchester next week, shock I'm on afternoon's.
Sheffield Utd was on a sat now on a Thursday. Guess what?? I'm on nights. The only mid week game I've made so far this season was the JPT vs Northampton.
Honestly wonder some days why I bothered getting a season ticket. I've been to more away games this season than home games!

Its noticeable how many people disappear when there's a game on. Obviously when we're at home you'd hope most are there but even when its an away game with a low attendance it can be the same few people posting in the match thread.

TBF, there's a large lurker community on the game threads. I'll often sit there refreshing it but haven't got much to type except for "how are we playing?"

I think there were 200 lurkers last game.

Yep.

"Nice one"

"Get in"

"What's the score?"

"oooof"

"Shit"

"[Today's manager] OUT"

It stretches my vocab to add anything worthwhile to a thread about a game I'm not watching!

Yep lots of people read them, understand not much to be said.

It's more telling when people don't bother reading at all!

City winning or loosing used to determine how good or bad my weekend was. I lived for Saturday at 3.

Ever since the Sixfields move a bit of it died, it started to come back last season towards the end of the campaign but with the end of the club a now distinct possibility I find myself removed again. Whatever happens on the pitch is overshadowed by the events of it.

I was more concerned with the news the Buffs is closing than the result against Wimbledon.

Sometimes BBC live text is more informative though. By the time I've read the bloody comments, we can have scored (or, more likely, conceded!) two.

Same here. The season we went down was the first season I didn't have that. From day one it was clear it was going to be a relegation battle. Was more optimistic for the first L1 season but that soon passed.

Obviously don't like us losing but now it does't ruin the weekend as its pretty much expected.

Frankly I do find it repetitive that within a couple of dozen replies on any non-football topic, the usual participants are dragging the conversation back to Wasps, SISU, ACL, Cov Rugby etc etc, callign each other "council lovers" etc, it's like a debate can't happen on any topic without someone going back to blaming BR for getting us into a lot of debt 20 years ago, or the club selling HR, it's so bloody tedious.

The problem with BBC live text, NW, is that it is usually several minutes late. I have it on the screen to keep an eye on the constantly updated league table. I also have the SBT match thread and CCFC Wall commentary running and flick between the three.

Is it? Any reason? I know it's probably on its last legs through the week, but then Saturday trade has also been dwindling for some time. Surprised all the super rich Wasps fans injecting millions into the local economy hasn't given it a boost.

I hear for refurbishment then some other bloke in the car park said the nearby temple own it and want to development the car park for their own uses.
Either way bad news for me as I will have to park elsewhere, I usually have 1 in there and 1 across the road in the Wheatsheaf. I would not call either suitable for the refined Warwickshire lot who follow Wasps.

For me, i still love the club and try so hard to stay enthusiastic.

Living 4½ hours flight away and working weekends i can't get back for games, feel proud that with everything that has gone on i still want to keep on keeping up to date, listening to all the games etc.... i even cancel meetings if they clash with a Cov game (and being my business it costs me money but CCFC always come first).

I have to admit though, it is getting harder and harder to keep the enthusiasm going (especially as i don't even get to see live games (just 10 min extented highlights on Sky Blue Player)).

Living out here though, i have to say that i am very surprised by people who recognise the CCFC badge. Brits and Irish, loads don't remember us (younger ones (upto about 20) those above that age have no idea what has gone on but most seem to think we are in the Championship.

Scandies, another story.... So many not only recognise our badge (younger and older ones) but i have also met many with CCFC tattoos and know more about our history than i do. Think as a club we need to tap into that market.

I agree with ur post with regards to the usual suspects continually arguing and turning everything to personal vendetta as in some of them continually backing either the council/sisu or wasps etc.
It either shows the depths the club we all love have plummeted to causing this divide or embarrassing oneupmanship"

I did type a further post to this but I lost it due to getting logged out...
In short...
Everyone has their own opinion but any outsider who views the arguments on here must see us as a laughing stock. We should all see the shit we are in, as ccfc supporters, and that should take precedence, but too many posters are embroiled in personal arguments.

Not sure why it matters anyway, the phone I was replying on signed me out and I lost my message. Surely the point of my posts should have been replied to rather than questioning if anyone else had ever been logged out? Ur response confirms what I mentioned in all honesty
