Commenatators concentrating too much on what we need to do to stop Italy getting into the dangerous positions on their right.

Err, If they were defending they can't get forwards. Instead of trying to think of ways of stopping Italy, we need to give the Italians something to think about and push them back by concentrating on our attacking play.


We all know the defence is England's weakness. We are not going to win games with t his defence. We are going to win through our attacking play.
We need to close down Pirlo more, but also try and push forwards at every opportunity. Don't let them dictate play and get Baines more into the game at the other end of the pitch.

Just two simple things though, Wingy.

All we needed to do was to close Pirlo down a bit and not just give him a stroll around the park and sort out that marking problem down the left. Pirlo is class but we failed to harry him at all.

The problem down the left killed us. Had we corrected that Italy hardly threatened.
