What a nasty clash in run up to the 2nd goal. Brave challenge by both players.

Wish them both a speedy recovery.

After watching this I feel far more optimistic about the future of our national squad. The youngsters played well against a team that finished as runnerup in the last world cup. Arjen Robben has some sublime silks, although I can't believe he is only 28.

I'm a neutral (a Paddy!) but REALLY impressed with the way the youngsters done last night. Two that stood out for me were Sturridge and Welbeck - particularly Welbeck. Fast and nippy. It's a shame that Holland have 3 or 4 world class players i.e. Robben, Van Persie, Sneijder and Bommel. They made the young lads work bloody hard.

But besides Spain we are unlikely to face a tougher team in the upcoming Euro's and I feel we stand a mighty fine chance when 'arry is in charge.

Germany?

Our chances of winning are slim. And that's being generous.

I agree Germany will be a tough test, but they are still a young side that are not as technically gifted (in my opinon).

I think we'll struggle to get out the group.

The current crop of players do create a bit of optimism around our chances. And was good to see us competing without Shrek!

I hate Rooney at international level. He never seems to cut it! Thought Aelbeck offered more, although he did need someone alongside him!
