Anyone else thinking Hendo is a sensible pick to have around the squad for the World Cup as long as he’s not a starter?

I don't get it, why not get him in the coaching staff?

No issue with him going as only as a cheerleader type thing, but take him and let him train without including him in the 23 man squad. If there's no intention of him playing it's a wasted spot.

He’s good to have as a leader off the bench to see out games, tournemant football is slightly different where you need players with experience especially in the latter stages if you’re 1 goal up against say a Brazil or France

If he comes on in midfield against Brazil or France we have problems as he's just not god enough anymore.

Let him go and train but not be part of the squad, much like they did with Tom Heaton last time.

I would have had him in the Euros squad, and he surely would have had more of an impact than say, Adam Wharton (who didn’t play). But I think you have to be careful picking any player that you wouldn’t also get away with starting - I’ve no idea whether that would be true next summer.

Ticket for Wembley tonight if anyone wants it, £10 - Brought the ticket whilst working my old job where I easily could have sorted out going, new one not so much and have no holiday left to take

Can get it dropped round to you

What block are you in Evo? That looks eerily close to my view.

I’m also on JDS scouting duty this evening.

so in a friendly vs. Wales it looks like we're playing a RB at LB and a CB at RB when when we've got two LBs on the bench. Gotcha!

Nice to beat them but I don't see the point in a friendly against Wales at the moment.

They're not the team of Bale and Ramsey anymore.

Not sure what he was expecting from a friendly vs Wales... ok they're local rivals in a sense but 3-0 is the kind of scoreline you would expect really.

Given the ease of qualification these days there really isn't going to be much atmosphere outside of major tournaments.

They showed the hunger to start with, think they took a leaf out of ccfc's book but turned off pretty quick.
I'm fairly sure we got a mention of matter face late on in the coverage.

Yeah it was pretty shit.

Still can't get over the crowd noise through speakers.

When England scored it wasn't "limbs".

I was underwhelmed last night with the atmosphere, maybe it's bring spoilt by watching the city there but I expected it to be better!
We was in block 540 above the score board

Exactly, this is why the international calendar needs revamping.

The only reason attendances hit 75k+ is because there’s 20-30k ETSC members who go to collect the caps for away games/tournaments.

I got in at 3am last night because of the closures on the M1.
