How does Phil Jones make it near the England team?

Is it everyone gets a game day? Some the players in the side today show how lacking we are in squad depth.

He gets selected by the manager.

Hope this helps.

Barkley is a superb player. I think if he is given the freedom we could have another gazza on our hands

They keep saying this pitch is 3G. Surely in 2015 in a major tournament qualifier it should be at least 4G shouldn't it?

Is that why passes are going astray?

He does look like something will happen every time he gets the ball. Contrary to Chiefdave's opinion, I think it's good that our young lads are getting an opportunity to stake claims for places. I think the "give anyone a game" remark is a little harsh.

Gazza had more talent in his pinky than Barkley. Good player who's cut out for the Premier League but would struggle with the tactical side of top international football.

Did you get away from the ground without running into trouble?

Yeah. Was a bit tasty on the way in. Lithuanians were trying to have a go even though we had the leader of their fans group with us. He 'politely' informed them of who he was and asked them to move on.

So, did England win or not? Couldn't be arsed watching. (Too busy trying to understand Fargo!)

Won 0-3. Barkley, OG, Ox. Probably the coldest place I've ever been.

Crowd disturbances before and during the game in the home section, our fans had brought tickets in their area and things got a little rosy for a couple of minutes when we went 2.0 up.

Seems odd to have such a small allocation when they still have tickets on sale on the day, surely that's asking for trouble. No doubt if it had kicked off in a major way we would have got the blame.

Which bit were you in? From the away end it looked like the fans behind the goal got tear gassed and clobbered by the riot police before the game. Heard a few English mention it in the Dirty Duck too.

Fans mixing was always going to happen with the crap allocation. I don't see why the Lithuanians couldn't give us more. Especially as the Bernie chap was selling tickets to every Englishman on the planet. How many locals were actually in the ground? 500-1000?
