Thoughts on tonight’s game ? Interested to see what team he puts out,no doubt it will be his favourites.Would love to see us in a 433 with a 5 of Rashford,Kane,Sterling, mount & Grealish with Rice sitting.

Rashford Kane Sterling Grealish Rice Mount

I hope he picks Grealish. The last few games we have looked rather clueless and one dimensional and lacking creativity.

He hasn't really played in the big game yet, but I really think he SHOULD be in tonight.

Not holding my breath though. Think we may just pack out the middle of the park with defensive minded midfielders.

Agree 343 he’s too defensive for my liking we have one of the best bunch of attacking player in the world we should be making the most of them.Be glad when he’s gone can’t stand him.

I have previously given him the benefit of doubt, but he clearly seems to be out of his depth and has a negative mindset in so many games.

Slept in late today but up early tomorrow, I’ll need something to help me sleep tonight. Perfect KO time for it.

Hasn't Sterling cried off with 'injury' again?

He must have done that several times then appeared all well and good for Man City one week later.

I think Southgate has been listening to Trump a bit too much.

Didn't turn on till kick off. What's all over the pitch, have they been firing off confetti cannons or something?

Not the most inspiring start from England.

We should have scored though and the first goal was a poor mistake.

You get punished for those at this level

I have no idea how he gets to play international football.

Whats going on with the back 3 too. It's awful.

We should have let him play for Ireland.

Yeah, the defence are shocking tonight, Tottenham, Villa and Man City all play 4 at the back, so none of those players are used to playing in a 3

Carragher is so right on the lack of pace in the side.

Two right backs, Dier in defence, Rice and Henderson in the middle. I'm well over Southgate.

Also If I was Maddison I'd tell Southgate to fuck off if he called me up to save his job

It's this or antiques roadshow.

I'm tempted to switch to the latter.

Fluking his way to the SF is going to delay this twat's sacking way longer than necessary.

Grealish is just about the only player that doesn't look like a programmed robot.

Not enjoyable at all watching England is it? Didn't think Southgate was the right person for the job when he got it and I've seen little since to persuade me otherwise.

Got lucky at the World Cup and is living off that. Not sure why he gets so much credit for the World Cup. We managed to scrape a win against Tunisia in injury time, beat Panama and lose to Belgium in the group. Hardly convincing. Then got past Columbia on pens before the one half decent performance of the tournament to beat Sweden before getting knocked out.

I'd have taken Rice off for Calvern Lewin at 2-0 down and put Mount in midfield.

What's the point of Winks and Rice.

I’ve only watched since half time. Walker has given the ball away every time he’s had it.
