Any hints on what is planned and more importantly WHEN?

Some of us have holidays to book you know.
Sort it out, Doug

The club obviously won’t announce anything until it’s rubber stamped to avoid making them look like twats should the very worst happen

But my prediction will be the day/night we are promoted an unofficial piss up in Broadgate like when we got promoted in 2020

Then an official event (bus tour) to take place on the Bank Holiday Monday after the Watford game

They won’t want to leave it too long to do something, the players will have their own private plans as a group as well as holidays with their families planned

On multiple threads, people are really getting ahead of themselves IMO.

I’d have agreed until Saturday - I just don’t see a world in which we do not get promoted now

Dangerous attitude to have I guess, but it would take an utter freak turn of events for it not to happen

It would be remiss not to factor this in whilst planning a holiday, then potentially missing a big CCFC event IMO... I would be gutted.
But I take your point.

Agree about promotion, but the title isn't guaranteed. Doing an open top parade without a trophy might be a step too far.

There is no way we don’t win the title or get promoted

You would think the moment we have confirmed promotion, Doug will be on his phone sorting all sorts of things. We will have to make improvements to the stadium such as lighting etc. He will have all sorts of contractors lined up.

The players will want to know soon as well as some of them will be off to the World Cup!

It feels that way but I’d rather wait before committing. It’s fucking brilliant but I’ll contain excitement until we’ve actually done it.

Having said this…when I was a lad I discovered that my dad was a pompey fan when I leapt up and celebrated a goal (a penalty by killer I think) which meant we won a meaningless end of season fixture but that got Pompey relegated…”SIT THE FUCK DOWN”.
If it’s gonna happen I think lightening can strike twice.

I agree. I think talks will have been going on for a little while in case it happened and deals will either already be agreed or close to being agreed and it's just waiting for promotion to be confirmed before they get signed.

They did one for winning the League 2 play offs in 2018, they had the 87 bus ready to go incase we beat Luton the other year

Of course there should be one however we get promoted

I agree.

But if there was to be an open top bus parade, have you any idea when that might be?

I would expect them to do a bus parade on the 3rd, no point in waiting and allows all involved the Monday to recover. Pointless waiting to the following week, everyone is already back to the daily grind.

As we all know there’s only one way to celebrate a promotion…
And that is to sit drunkenly sobbing in our front rooms whilst watching a Dj we’ve never heard of on our tellys, playing tunes we don’t recognise, from on top of a hotel roof.

Let’s stick with tradition folks.

Fair enough, but somehow doesn't feel the same for coming 2nd, albeit an amazing achievement.

I am not by any means advocating it but a friendly gathering on the pitch is surely in order

Let’s beat Derby , avoid defeat at Hull and beat Wednesday then perhaps the people with the power can start to sort out an incredible bank holiday weekend and I hope that we can celebrate the successes of Coventry City and the City centre of Coventry can have an absolute bonanza ££££

Need to know if the the bus is going through Broadgate, need to book a table at one of the restaurants with a balcony overlooking Broadgate.
