yes and another 800 tickets across the season takes us to 3rd in the listWe got capped a lot by home sides this season. Brum and Baggies spring to mind as games we could have sold 4/5K but were limited to around 2k.
Interesting that all 5 in that list finished in the top 6. How much influence have away followings had on performances?

The Sunderland away numbers are very impressive when you consider they have much further than most to travel on average considering they are right up north. Our distance must average one of the lowest considering we're in the Midlands.
Yea sunderland on average I believe travel a further 80 milesI’m pretty sure there was a table on twitter that had our distance as something like third lowest.
However it was surprising that when averaged out the difference wasn’t massive. There were about 10 other clubs that only had about an extra 30 miles to do on average

First seven severely affected our crowd numbers, agreed. By the time we started to play at home, we were almost bottom. We only saw a significant upturn after our results got better (as per my previous post). First home league game was end of August vs Preston, 18913 att. Next was beginning of October vs Middlesboro, 19788 att. Final Saturday home game in October vs Blackpool, 8924... that's all. First 20K+ attendance was QPR in mid-November which brought in 23201 fans. But that could be linked to it being the last home game before the World Cup break as the next home game vs Swansea in mid-December was only 17985 att. It's only been since mid-February that we've been getting consistent 21K+ crowds.
It's disappointing but Coventry fans and the Coventry public in general are very fickle. If they see success and positive moves within the team, they will respond. At the moment we are on a high. If we were to get past Middlesboro, I'd expect a 40,000+ sellout at Wembley. If at any stage we fail to progress and have to start again in the Championship next season, I can also envisage the initial games being popular but unless they see consistent entertaining and winning performances, those fairweather fans will start to drift away and will only reappear if we start to show more success again. Any loss of Vik, Gus and maybe CoH would also affect how the public perceives "success" within the club.
22/23K may be attainable but I don't see the fairweather fans staying for long enough to see any improvement or to generate the amazing, electric atmospheres we've seen at the CBS this season.
