I know we've got bigger issues at the moment and this is minor in the scheme of things, but disappointed to see so many empty seats in Singer's Corner last night. The decision to cap capacity and stop all sales in 14 and 15 when many seats are unsold is a mistake. This is the one part of the ground you want to pack out. A mate sent me the image below last night and if you zoon in, you can see it's probably the most sparsely populated area in the East Stand, and it is worse than this image, because everyone is standing it hides a lot of the empty seats. No more than 2/3 full at best. Hopefully they reverse this decision.

Yep, I said at the time that they had stopped sales early.

The security/stewarding is a complete overkill. The club complain about a waste of money but they do not need that much either there or by the away end for a low grade fixture like that.

Yep, the amount of stewards and police last night was insane. I know they brought a few dickheads last season, but on a Wednesday night it ain't happening, so police it accordingly and use your noggin. How much say the club have on this I'm not sure though.

I’m in block 15 row FF and three times moved response stewards standing in the aisle blocking my view, they looked at me like something the cat dropped but I reminded them I want to be able to watch the game sat down, no need for that level of security and to be honest none do their job and stop fans standing. I know that happens in that area and I’m not a kill joy I can work around that part of joy and can work around that but next game if the same happens I will insist calmly and nicely they make those in front of me sit down, should be interesting.

We've only got ourselves to blame with things like this. There's been repeated warnings that have been ignored so you end up with OTT solutions like this.

Im in block 15 and I was surprised with the amount of empty seats. In my row there must have been about a dozen and it was the same in other rows. I thought the block had sold out with st holders but unless there was a holiday to Butlins organised I cant see that many being away. Have the club purposely limited the seats in the block this season ?

i also noticed there was no dividing fence/wall or what ever was planned between block 5 and 16 so whats going on.
As I walked up from the concourse last night to block 15 I some one asking the three stewards on the steps what was the best entry for his seat as he was unsure what end it was. The three stewards all shrugged their shoulders and hadnt got a clue what end his seat number was. There was an officer at the top of the stairs who in his words said “ they are being more cautious tonight because of the amount of idiots that use block 15”

whilst I agree we do have our fair share of idiots its pretty obvious that anyone in block 15 now is tarred with the same brush and if it carries on I can see it pissing a lot of fans off this season

The kin joke was getting away from the stadium after the game.
Trying to get over Jimmy Hill way at the lights took ages. Someone will be run over before they do anything.
lights need rescheduling for after games.

The club through the SCG are trying to make it as unattractive as possible to attend games.

Ridiculous comment which sounds perfectly plausible. It really does look like that.

That stupid fence is still there too.

Walking from the corner to cov Welsh was like a tough mudder with all the mad obstacles. Still walk past where the away fans come out anyway. Only team in the 92 that have this absurd solution and it doesn’t stop them massively over policing the place either.

My ST is in 15 , and I missed yesterday due to holiday (perfectly planned it so I would only miss this game which would be perfectly sandwiched within the rotherham , wigan and huddersfield triple header and WBA ffs) and whilst I can understand the logic behind this ( last season if i only arrived 5 mins before kick off there would be no space by my ST) I agree it’s quite overkill. If they sold all the tickets and everyone stood where their actual seat was it would be fine. We need the corner’s support more than ever this season , so hopefully it’s full vs WBA , but I can’t help but feel that stopping people just walking into the corner with tickets elsewhere is also a factor.

They tweeted and blamed it on stewards being stuck in traffic but one of the stewards said to me there was a fault with the scanners.

When did they stop sales? I just assumed the blocks were completely taken up by STs thats why sales had stopped. Is it just more of a crowd control thing then?

Parking fiasco too last night. Turned up at that John Shelton primary school for my pre-paid parking space only to be told that they didn't have the key to the new lock so a lot of us were turned away and had to go and park by the Novotel instead.

If you want to sit down don’t buy a st in the one place in the ground where people stand up. It’s common sense.

Hard not to agree with this, annoys me when i have to sit because people behind me want to in a section where everyone stands. Its called signers corner you stand up to sing. Sooner we get safe standing the better

Exactly mate. If you do want to sit down surely you’d do it in a place with a good view , both in terms of where everyone else sits down , and near the halfway-line too?

People just assumed they had sold out but there's no way every single ticket would go without the odd single dotted around.

I bought mine and there were still around 200 seats left and 3 days later the were 'sold out'.

I think with the club deciding not to pay for the fence, they've limited numbers on the quiet.

They could really do with another wider metal footbridge over the A444 so people can avoid going across those traffic lights.
Had no problem getting in or out of the stadium but there is an accident waiting to happen on that busy road. The Killers concert aftermath was interesting with the volume of people.

That’s ridiculous , especially as I often struggle to buy two seats together anywhere in 14-17 apart from the first few rows.

I’m not complaining about standing thicko read what I have put properly my dear, but having a row of stewards lined up down the gangway standing arms folded basically being paid to watch the game and not doing what they are paid for ain’t right. Of course fans stand in that area do it myself sometimes.

Couldn’t see from where I was sat but was the naughty corner barrier they mentioned up? If not - more examples of Wasps running out of $

what you said above completely contradicts that - you are saying you are going to ask the stewards to make the people in front of you sit down

Yes only to see if they do what they are paid and there for, and earn their money

So you are complaining about standing whilst saying you want to be able to sit after buying a season ticket in the one area in the ground where people stand. I was right then

Yep, there is absolutely no way they sold every seat in the corner. There were hundreds available last season and they were considered sold out by July. I'd like to see answers for it.

It's the most in demand area of the ground and they've now limited numbers in 15/16 and closed block 13.

We can argue about behaviour, but Block 13 should be open. No other ground in this country has the extreme measures that we have.

Wait until we go to Norwich Saturday. They don't have any segregation. It's a row of stewards. Hull was the same. Very little and no real bother.

It was Coventry who were paying for it and quietly they went back on that and instead changed the colour of the season tickets.

Another example of CCFC struggling really.

It’s been said before - but for example last night with preston not bringing many - the massive segregation encourages people to give it the big ‘un and causes more problems than it solved

They put it in late last season. The same tiny barrier as the one past block 13 - just a little rail between block 16 seats 10 and 11

There was genuinely more stewards in the away end for 900 Preston fans last night.

Crazy waste of money.
