Not really sure why they quote Bruce Springsteen but then leave out all the other concerts. Pretty sure Take That had over 40k in there.

Celtic friendly was only about 25k I think.

Yeah, 25k per this link, good memory.

If people find it pointless it will fade away, it's not compulsory to read or comment on it.

Must have been the club didn't want to get embarrassed with protests or something like that. Will have been some dark story so that people can moan about not getting tickets and there being a couple of empty seats.

Dread to think it could have been health and safety or something like that or even a non accurate attendance figure. I guess it all depends whichever way you can twist it to make the club look bad and have a whinge.

It's grendel level trolling Nick to use one or two peoples stupid opinions against everyone making reasonable points.

The club clearly could have sold thousands more tickets, that said it might have been a concious and not unreasonable decision not too, they could have felt that selling the hospitality tickets could damage the future business from the core audience in those areas. If thats there reasoning though I don't really agree with it, they could have sold a good number of those tickets for a higher cost and made it clear to those buying that there is a dress code or something. If you'd put those tickets up for sale on the website with a clear note that said £30 a ticket, includes a glass of champagne, football shirts can't be worn in this area (if thats even the rule, the diamond club at Arsenal at 20 grand a season had people in jeans and arsenal shirts) I think they could have filled the balcony personally, brought in another 60k and made some more people happy.

There were loads of people inside though, would they be able to sell them even though the people stay inside? I don't know how it works?

you can tell by the fact that 2 of the blocks had a good number of people and the rest were empty that most of the area hadn't been sold. if it had all been sold there would have been people dotted all over.

Also while corporate areas have a much higher percentage of people who will stay inside, during the game the large majority of them still come out especially on a warm evening. Obviously the colder the weather the more attractive the warm inside becomes.

No you just quoted a percentage off a capacity which is incorrect. I was merely pointing this out.

Try reading the whole thread then.

When I used the percentage it was to show that nearly 1 in 5 seats were not accounted for from the official capacity and the official attendance. This is why I asked the question to start with. They are saying that 60% of ticket sales will be going back into the squad. If Noggin is right and they cluld have raised another 60k our squad could have had another 36k.

It isn't about who was at fault. It is more like is there any lessons to be learned. We are still in the FA cup. And as we know from the last two seasons we could get a big earning tie. No cheap tickets like last night and a full house. Before todays games we are only two points off second and three off the top.

I also have money on us at 22/1 to win the division

Many empty seats were, as said earlier in this thread, because block 15 was rammed......several more people than seats.
That spilled over into block 16 a bit as well....
Also, my mate and I had a spare ticket, as we tried to make sure everyone we knew could get in, and ended up with one over, which we couldn't get rid of outside the ground. But the club did get the £10 for the ticket, so thats £6 to the team
