I wouldn't be against him by any means but think we need to look at better players than him. For a back up it's a no brainer, experienced and a cheap pick up..

Would he be happy being a back-up though, probably not.

Wouldn't be averse to selling BTA and bringing him in on a free as a replacement. Not sure if he'd accept being third choice though.

Would be ok with doing something similar with Simms and Bundu.

Would definitely be trying to convince Dolan to join so we've got another RW and bringing in Darling to replace one of Binks or Lati.

Don’t need to loan Bassette out, give him a good pre season then have a proper look at him, there’s a player there,

Similar boat here. His best seasons have been when he’s played 40+ games. In his shortened seasons, he’s managed about half the season and scored 5-6 goals.

However, his worst season would give you an aneurysm Evo, 2 goals in 38…

Riis, not good enough to be first choice at a team like us and probably too good to play the role he'd be suited for here

One of them will go imo and my money is on BTA leaving.

I don’t quite understand why we’re deifying strikers like Tyrese Campbell and Riis (two to be fair) after one good season when, put into context, they scored less than Simms in 23/24.

They’re certainly not better players than Haji.

I’m using Simms as a benchmark if he’s that bad a player, these players would have a track record of scoring more goals and they don’t.

It misses the actual point is that if these players can barely muster numbers better than Simms at their best… they aren’t going to be a better player Haji Wright.

He’ll probably be another Michael McIndoe who was shit hot and always scored against us but what useless when he signed for us

They’ll at least get a place on the bench then because neither are better than Haji.

Haji won't be playing CF for us, he'll be deployed as a left forward where he is best. We'll be looking or 2 forwards better than Simms and BTA, Haji is irrelevant.

No, thanks. Hopefully we’ll be taking promotion seriously. The best move for both parties would be him going out on loan.

Few on here are fuming that it's an actual link now when it would quite obviously be a smart signing.

Disagree, every time Lampard has had the chance, he’s played Sakamoto, Wright and EMC. That’s what Lampard thinks is his best team right now.

I’m certainly not fuming about it, he’s got something about him in the numbers. Definitely better than BTA and Bassette right now.

Free signing too which we have to utilise this off season.

Right now yes, because he thinks his 2 CFs aren't good enough. I agree with him.

Haji sees himself as a striker and so does Lampard. EMC’s numbers suggest he’s more than capable of hitting a ‘double-double’ in goals and assists over an injury free campaign.

In all likelihood, Haji does not play striker next season for us, is if we sell him imo.

I’m sure he’d jump at the chance of that.

Hi Emil, we would like you to replace Bassette. The lad that didn’t make the match day squad in some weeks and who was an unused sub in most. Sound good?

This guy will be joining a team who want him as their star striker. Not to replace our 4th choice striker.
