And beers. Some places it nearly £6 for a glass just bigger than a half pint. One of the most expensive places I’ve ever been. Yeah I've seen they are pretty insane. Luckily we know people that can give us a room until we find somewhere and she'll be working immediately. Sydney is a fantastic city and there is always something to do.
Only advice I would give is to embrace it and appreciate what a lucky sod you are!!

LG - how old are you? I was given the opportunity to work for 3 years in either USA or Australia. At that time I was late fifties and thought I was too old to make the move. If I had been 10 years younger I would have jumped at the chance, knowing I could rent my house out and the company would have paid for overseas housing.
