Amidst all the farcical bullshit going on off the pitch, I was wondering why nobody (Waggott I presume..what else is this walrus doing?!) has made any enquiries to our good friends at the football league as to whether or not there is an opportunity to make short term signings or 'emergency' loans given that we only have 1 recognized centre half within our 1st team squad?

I do seem to recall this being the case with Pompey last year although their predicament was due to them having literally no players I believe so slightly different scenario.

People forget that even if the CVA is signed, the bastard accounts have STILL yet to be filed up to year end of March 2012. Despite all the goings on, there is absolutely no excuse why these documents have still not been submitted. It is an absolute disgrace..or perhaps this is another of Fishcake's instructions due to where everything has been moved..I mean shown. If the CVA is signed, it'll all be irrelevant and swept under the carpet anyway. Perhaps this is what he's waiting for and they're good to go?

Irrespective of both the Admin and failure to submit the accounts, I'm sure the FA would say to Pressley 'stop being a stubborn prick using 9 year olds, you have two perfectly good centre halves rotting away in your bomb squad..oh look there's Gary McSheffrey too who you continue to fork out in excess of £5k/wk for'.. The squad wouldn't look half as bad if he stopped following Fishnet's lead, took his head out of his arse and actually brought these players back from the abyss!

The very late filing could be interpreted as a ploy to wait for the CVA to be signed and potentially avoiding the disclosure of certain information.

and cause loan signings cost money.

Why would SISU want to invest in the team when they can give it to Appleton ?

We already have an emergency loan this season. It is Shitfields. We have loaned that as we had nowhere to play :thinking about:

 Oh yeah of course!! Forgot about that...Money! Money that couldn't pay the rent, lack of which they sent us into admin for, money which miraculously appeared to re-buy the club, build an brand new ground in fairy land etc etc. How the f*ck have they been allowed to do this? Not even mentioned the biggest arse shaft of all..the re-location!

We know we need fresh blood but lets be honest much of the squad we have at the moment if you take out McGoldrick and replace him with Leon Clarke, are the ones who zoomed up the league after xmas. Bell didn't play and Richard Wood was out injured until the last month or so. Not a lover of him but Edge is still at the club as is McSheffry. So it would be difficult to put a we are desperate case to the football league, as much as I want this issue resolved and get down to football allowing Steven Pressley to manage properly it is the long term we must look at.

'Unfortunately' we have a squad of 17 players with a further 5/6 in the bomb squad. Pompey got rid of their entire squad and had no registered players on their books so were given special dispensation to bring in players, but only on one month loans.

We're a long way off qualifying for emergency loan status I'm afraid.

I think it will come out that we have already signed Manset and maybe a few others.
Has it not been said already that the transfer embargo does not stop us from signing unattached players?

nope, its the transfer window that deosnt stop us from signing unattached players. Its likely we wont come out of admin till after the window has closed, but we can still sign those unattached after that.

Technically we cantsign ANYONE whilst in admin / embargo

Ok, but even then "pre-contract agreements" were mentioned?

no we can't sign anyone, we will be able to sign unattached players even when the transfer window is closed once we are out of the embargo. which is fortunate as I expect the transfer window to be shut before we are out of embargo.

It's also the case that once we are out of embargo assuming we are playing in northampton we really should be put straight back into an embargo as we will be breaking ffp.

To the OP we really shouldn't be allowed emergency loans while we have the bomb squad.

no because we have plenty of players we just choose to separate them from the squad and pretend they don't exist while paying their salaries.

Interesting list there deano...Going through, I would say no more than 15 have been any good. After Joe Murphy, there is only Clarke, Adams and Moussa I would class as successful.
