Ian Holloway has signed a 2 and a half year deal as Millwall boss, meaning Steven Pressley will be staying on at Coventry City

Millwall would not have been much of a career progression for Pressley. But make no mistake, when an offer comes in at a bigger club with more potential, and a fatter salary, he will of course move on. That's the way of football, there is no such thing as club loyalty for managers or players. It's just business. Never forget that.

Whilst he's doing well this season, he's completely unproven.

Not aimed at you, your post is just a jumping point.

But when did money now = good business become a thing?

There are lots of reasons not to just jump at the first paycheck even if you're running your career as a "business".

I don't understand when short term thinking and business became synonymous.

Big Sam given a vote of confidence in an open letter to West Ham fans! Usually after receiving such 'board' support the manager is given their p45!!

I think it would take a huge offer for SP to leave us, one that he cannot refuse, whereas Robins took anything that was higher. Millwall wasn't enough to warrant leaving us as they looked doomed anyway. If someone higher in Championship or lower Prem then he will certainly go. Lets hope that doesn't happen just yet.

He stated yesterday he was going nowhere in the immediate future, does no one know this. I was gonna share it yesterday as I didn't see any threads but I was too lazy.

Pressley said his wife and kids are settled and love Coventry etc

When are you going to realise that what you say doesn't matter. He was willing to relocate his family to the Midlands for our job which shows me he is prepared to follow the job. Regardless of him saying he is happy and his family is settled, the minute an offer he cannot refuse comes in it is see you later.
