Pisses me off. Also the march to the arch. I want all talk of both banned. Mr Linnell is in his element.

Log cabin?

Isn't that a posh name for a toilet?

Agreed. I like listening to the supporters, no matter how deluded they are. Linnell loves the sound of his own voice and weird chuckle too much.

Yeah, nicknames always tend to conform strictly to spelling.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Still wouldn´t be funny, all these puerile jokes even if the surnames were the same

Also, the actual Elvis was nicknamed 'The King', yet I just checked and the USA didn't even have a royal family!!!!

I wanted to make sure, because nicknames are of course serious business and must be scientifically and grammatically accurate.

I mean, that extra 's' in Pressley certainly renders years of people calling him Elvis redundant, and it's not as if it's just a nickname and doesn't matter.

Yep. Good job Edge is spelled Edgeungeule and not Edjungeule isn't it.

City fans aren't happy unless they are moaning.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure I'm right in saying Elvis isn't a nickname we've made up, its his actual nickname that he's been called throughout his footballing life. Also I like a good shortened nickname bugger typing out names like Edjenguele, Bigirimana and McGoldrick in recent seasons, Edge, Biggie and Goldie will do for me

No, none of this nonsense.

From now on it's Gareth McSheffrey, Joseph Murphy and Christopher Dunn.

And three of our best ever players are William Carr and Ernest Hunt and Thomas Hutchison.

Mr. Burns: I wonder if this Homer Nixon is any relation?
Waylon Smithers: Unlikely, sir. They spell and pronounce their names differently

I can see a "last day of the season at notts county lets all dress as elvis thread" coming soon, you heard it here first! lol

If his nickname is Elvis I am calling Elvis and according to stuff I've read about him his nickname is indeed Elvis.

You think he should change his nickname because a few people on here are getting a bit mardy about it?

The puns on the songs will fade in time, but 'Elvis' is here to stay.

Do any of the manchester radio stations ply fergie songs and get chuffed about it?

My point was just about cwr getting wet about puns and playing bits of elvis, just seemed a bit tacky and unprofessional.

Dont think anybody expected his nickname to change though, i will stick with just using his name, just as many syllables

It's his first game in charge. If they're still doing it come August I'd worry.

I can remember the Newcastle fans wearing Rudd Gullit wigs, i was right next to the away fans and i got kicked out the sky blue stand as i had about 10 Geordie twats next to me singing "sexy football" when they were about 4 nil up. i didnt take kindly to it. Was funny in hindsight.
