Not sure why king would try and save 2 mill in a mini tournament worth 100 mill plus

Or why he'd have agreed a deal with such a clause in it in the first place. It's obvious conspiracy nonsense.

It's all utter bollocks . Even someone with single digit IQ could work out any club isn't going to risk over 100 million quid for the sake of saving 2 million.
Simms didn't play as he was either injured or because he's been shit and in lamaprds eyes lazy recently.

Not sure what your point is? Are you defending Simms or just facets of his contract? If you are a big fan of his can you explain why, as a professional, he still can’t control the ball, head it, pass it or connect cleanly with it.

No. He was atrocious. I would have taken him off at half time but this is in hindsight.

How is it hindsight? You would have taken him off at half time? That is not hindsight. Either shite management or the clause exists

Ha ha. I know you're on the wind-up but I'll entertain you this once.

Games played clauses are common place in contracts, I'd be more surprised if there wasn't one.

What is clearly nonsense is:
A) It would be a £2m lump sum based on his next appearance
B) That's the reason he didn't feature in the Playoff SFs.

Players lose form, get over it. Simms is still young so we have to wait and see.
BTA looked brilliant against Middlesborough and that is why Lampard played him in the first leg. He said as much.
EMC came in for the second leg and that left Simms the odd one out.
For most of the second leg it looked as if we would go on to win it so no changes were made up front.
Near the end, Haji was left on as our main penalty taker.
Bollocks conspiracy theories again!

Because Wright was shite and we needed a different option, instead Frank carried on with Wright. When Assante and Simms played together ( Wright injured) ..we won 9 out of 10 games ...

He was asked about Simms a few times when he was first appointment and gave very cagy answers. Pretty clear that he'd make up his mind before he set foot on the pitch.

Pretty hard for Simms to turn that around especially when he's only getting 20 minutes in games.

First time I saw Simms play was at Exeter in a friendly and the last time I saw Hamer in a Cov shirt. I thought Hamer was brilliant and we need him and Simms was rubbish ( what have we done) , we all wanted another Vik. He's obviously improved a lot since then but I can't help thinking he's never going to be the sharpest of strikers, he's very reactive.
I don't think his personality helps but he can't help that ...he's just a quiet lad in a very egotistical profession.

I actually don’t think he’s improved at all, really.

We have seen the level of Wright performance from Simms at least 15 times this season.

He is so poor at striking a ball, that he wasn’t even considered for a penalty so that also ruled him coming on late the other night.

Everton aren’t guaranteed to make £8 million from Ellis Simms’ departure. That’s according to Coventry Live, who have reported that the transfer fee will depend on a number of add-ons. The Toffees were said to value the striker between £6-10 million as a number of Championship clubs fought over his signature.

Coventry City have now confirmed the arrival of Simms on a four-year deal, with previous reports claiming they were forking out £8m to bring him to the Midlands.

However, the report has claimed that the Sky Blues will pay an initial £3.5m rising to £5m depending on appearances and goals, before reaching £8m if they gain promotion to the Premier League.

He wasn’t particularly good. Which means in those games he was probably only a 10% upgrade on Simms.

Lampard got it right and it’s extremely simple. Wright is our best forward. BTA is our next best. So Simms didn’t play.
BTA is a player whose reputation has been reformed by being out for a long time then setting up a goal against tired legs. He hasn't been good enough all season either and was a bizarre signing.

Simms and BTA need to be moved on because they're not good enough. Wright is good enough but if his attitude can't be fixed we should make our money back and get some fire up front.
