I like him, needs the right player next to him though to give him a rocket every now and then. If I remember right Ward and Page were a great partnership for a few seasons under Adams
I was just going to introduce Page into the equation ,quality for the level we were at and an excellent captain ,sad it all fell foul after the doyle episode.

Much much better centre half than those who have played for us since.
He doesn't dive in every 2 minutes because he doesn't need to. Good player and why the fuck that idiot Coleman signed Wood and didn't bother with Ward I will never know.

Ward was frozen out because he was signed at a time when we were paying ridiculous wages. Wood seemed like a great signing for us. Adored at Sheff Wed. It's only really been this season where I've questioned Wood.

Not playing him didn't mean we didn't pay his wages, and we then paid for Wood and paid his apparently £8000 a week wages as well.

Ward was my favourite player when he signed, brilliant centre back. Shame it ended badly.
