Stephen Elliott has instigated some amazing attacking play during his stint in the first team and has created some amazing chances, but he isnt scoring. Creating chances and attacking play is the job of the midfielders, the job of the strikers is too score goals and that is exactly what Cody McDonald has been doing. Now McSheffery's crossing has been awful as of late and i think he needs to earn his place back in the team, Fleck is much better in the centre and Moussa just isnt going well with the new 4-4-2, so maybe we should play Elliott on the left wing? He's agile for his stature and size, he's quicker than Sheffers IMO and he creates some amazing chances, plus his crossing is more than decent. It would give Cody a go up front and keep the momentum going for him, we get to see him with Leon, Elliott stays in the team and McSheffery gets the kick up the arse he needs

That square pegs and round holes approach has been undertaken by numerous managers, none of whom were successful.

Spot on. Its the tactics not the players! Yeah a second striker is exactly what we need seeing as Clarke has got 8 goals in 11 games. The simple fact is that we need to continue what Robins was doing get the ball on the deck and stop putting so many crosses in and allow the wider players to contribute more to the number of shots.

Elliot played on the wing for Hearts. I've spoken to two Hearts fans and they both say he's better on the wing.

Yes Taylor, you are. He's done very well instigating attacking play and has been much bettter than Clarke creating chances, but Clarke is the one scoring, so he needs to stay in the team, btu we need a goal creator in the midfield. Sheffers is in a rut, Cody needs to start to keep his form going and Elliott is too good for the bench IMO. He's played on the wing before, Moussa isnt suited to the 4-4-2 and Fleck is juch better down the centre

He's given the ball away at every opportunity last 3 games, my mate said he was wank, I hadn't said anything to him about Elliott beforehand. He's had 1 assist this season, v Sheff U, has created jack diddly squat. We know he's played on the wing before - and the results wasn't good!

If he plays there it'll be Dunn all over again.

4-4-2 just needs to get scraped, facts as well as I say so.
