Contacted by Joe this morning in the wake of the SOC meeting and he asked me to set the record straight.

Joe Elliott has stated that he has been happy to communicate with all fans and fan groups in the past and will definitely do so in the future, without prejudice, and he is proud of his record of fan interaction and communication. However during the confidential and delicate talks that are currently progressing between the Hoffman consortium and SISU it was felt best by all parties that their affairs were conducted in private and not via the media and therefore no comments would be made by Joe or any other person attached to the process until such time as there was something significant to announce.

He pointed out that he himself deals with many people at the club on a daily basis and would encourage any group to work with the club to help fill the Ricoh and get increased numbers of fans behind the team. Now the two sides were in constructive dialogue the immediate priority was Championship survival and getting as many fans into the Ricoh and behind the team.

Happy to set record straight

So, Joe agrees with what you were trying to do Jan.

Thanks for your good work.

From the CT yesterday:
More militant fans in the group argued any negotiations with the current owners of the club would undermine a possible bid from Gary Hoffman.

So what was up with the information you got at the meeting, misunderstanding or like others suggested something more malicious?

that was always going to be the case.

Why would 2 cov city fans, who are helping people buy Cov City and want to talk to Cov City fans

:thinking about:

I look forward to hearing for you tomorrow Jan, perhaps its Ray Ransons turn to contact you tomorrow morning ?

That's exactly what I've been asking...for Jan to have repeated it on here and other places, without even questioning it's validity and for it to have been a factor in his resignation he surely felt that it came from a reliable source. There's a few that will now think there's no smoke without fire so if it was said for malicious reasons to get City fans doubting GH's motives even more then it will have worked in some quarters.

Someone called Obama rang me today, reversing the charges cheeky fucker, and said can i offer him any advice on some sort of campaign or something he is due to take part in some time later this year.
I thought long and hard and the only advice i could give him was , would you mind fucking off, and could you stop sticking your nose in other peoples business like your some sort of police force of the world, and where every decision every other fucker makes has to come through you first.

Good work Jan, all that work you and others did, it shows it did'nt go to waste

Fair enough. Can't say more than that.
Lets all hope something concrete will come out of the talks being held by Hoffman's consortium and SISU Capital
that is at least better than what we have and will be the first road to getting our club back on the road to success....

One cautionary note folks: Don't expect more than what can be delivered.
